Online menu currently showed 80-90% of the menu can be made GF (with some DF and Vegan options), very promising. That prevalence is certainly the case with the list of appetizers, but many of the GF-marked small "Snackies" come with tortilla chips, which the knowledgable server informed us were fried in a shared fryer with gluten. Our party was a bit shocked, since we came for the pure GF. Everything I tasted was good but not mind-blowingly tasty or spiced so well IMO to justify the prices. Someone said the queso was like the cheese on a deep dish pizza. I still go to Torchy's even with the risk, and was recently impressed by Moose Hill Cantina in Lakewood for price-performance. I felt a little off after eating here at Loca (possible low level reaction) but I'd probably visit again, not frequently, and I wouldn't nom the chips. At this time the Flan and the Carlota de Limon desserts were GF (not marked on menu) - I liked both but the Flan is especially dense/thick with good flavor. Decent for a special occasion.
