Cantina Monarca

I arrived at 1:30pm for lunch without a reservation on a Thursday and was able to be seated right away. The restaurant is beautifully and creatively appointed, although the tables and chairs are crowded together. The curved seating along the window is somewhat awkward for comfort. Despite the crowded conditions, the service was excellent. Wait staff were attentive to my needs. I learned when I arrived that the menu is completely gluten-free. I ordered the Quesabirria Taco. The homemade monterrey cheese and corn tortilla - flavorful, tender and thick - was filled with tender beef, and sauted red onions. One taco made a perfect meal. I would visit Cantina Monarca and order this Taco again the next time I am in Bellevue or explore other items on the menu. Diners at Cantina Monarca must be at least 21 years of age;

Gorgeous restaurant with an excellent menu. I believe the owners have a personal or family history of celiac disease. All food including desserts are gluten free. Got a margarita flight and enjoyed all the flavors. Wagyu taco was spicy but good. Pork belly tacos and tlayuda with birria were super tasty. We got the pastel chocolate for dessert. Was good but not the best gf chocolate cake I’ve ever had. Great service and food was brought out extremely quickly. Will be back for the next special occasion! Reservations recommended in advance.

Food was great! I had a few tacos which they could make dairy free too. Dedicated GF kitchen. Tequila was good too! 21+ only so no kids.

Symptomatic celiac- have been here several times and was never sick. Definitely recommended. I’d suggest getting the chicken offerings over the other ones.

One of my favorite gluten free spots! I didn’t know the entire restaurant was GF (besides the beers) until going for the first time and it did not disappoint! I’ve been several times since and it’s always good and very very safe.

Wonderful experience, we’ll definitely be back! Dedicated GF kitchen! Food and drinks were all fantastic. Love being able to have the chips and guac. I especially loved the corn esquites and the margarita flight!

The ambience is so similar to Tulum. I felt like I was back there. The food is amazing, a little pricey, but definitely worth it. The cocktails are handcrafted and so delicious. The entire menu is gluten-free. The owners mother has celiac disease and understands what it takes to have a gluten-free kitchen. I love this place!

Amazing meal. Dedicated kitchen, only gluten onsite they said was if you order whiskey intentionally. Meal was amazing, ambience is nice, staff was patient and celiac informed. What a great place.

Celiac I am very sensitive but it was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself! I was able to eat the Chips which I’m never able to, I ordered the duck carnitas tacos with fresh homemade corn tortillas. Everything on their menu is GF other than the beer. No reaction and I’m on day 2 feeling great!

They handle dairy free well here as well! The enchiladas are fantastic and so are the homemade chips and salsa!! Everything is GF!

Just went for the first time and I already love this place. The entire menu/kitchen is gluten free but they do offer gluten-full drinks (beer) so I don't think I can flag it as a dedicated GF facility. Both tacos I tested showed clean on my NIMA tester. The food was delicious but it is a high-end restaurant so be prepared to spend $!
