Glutened here tonight. Long story short – they served me the wrong food, confirmed it was GF when it wasn’t, and then tried to hide it.

I ordered the “Pesto Chicken Alfredo Pasta” off of the gluten free menu and asked our waitress to inform the kitchen of my food allergy. When delivered, I confirmed with both the food runner and our waitress that the dish was gluten free. After beginning to eat, I didn’t feel quite right. I checked again with the waitress, and she took the plate back to the kitchen to verify. When she returned, she explained that they “could not confirm by looking at it” that the dish was GF, and that the kitchen wanted to remake the dish just to be sure. The asst. manager then returned with a replacement plate with very different pasta. After a little while, I started to feel quite sick. The manager returned, and after telling him that I was sick, he admitted that the staff told him they sent out the wrong pasta. They were probably hoping to get me out of there before my symptoms got bad.

When asked about how this happened, it was explained that the chef simply misread the ticket and plated my dish incorrectly. There are not sufficient safeguards to keep people with food sensitivities safe, and therefore, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone with gluten sensitivity.
