I have had a couple flavors of their GF cupcakes and cookies. The cupcakes are delicious. I think they rotate flavors.

While they have GF cupcakes, they just aren’t very good. Pearls is leaps and bounds better.

"Carytown Cupcakes bakes a minimum of 16 flavors per day, including 2 vegan and 2 gluten-free selection."
Amazing gf cupcakes!! I have loved every single one I’ve had!

The salted caramel cupcake was to die for. GF baked goods can be super dry and I’m happy to report this was not the case here!
Yes
Had a couple of gluten free cupcakes. I got the salted caramel. The cake was moist and the frosting was very good.
The cupcakes are genuinely really good and full sized. When I went there the server was super sweet and knowledgeable. The customer behind me got both gf and regular cupcakes and she automatically put them in separate boxes.
I had a delicious Gluten-Free Carmel Apple cupcake. The other choice was GF Pumpkin Caramel Cheesecake. Great fall flavors. The cupcake had a perfect, light texture! I’ll have to come back before I leave town! I am gluten sensitive.
I contact the place directly and they informed me that they use the say cooking area for both regular and gluten free cupcakes but they make sure to sanitize it. I would give more stars if they had plan vanilla as someone else said. And if the girl working the cashier knew that you shouldn't put gluten free cupcakes in the same box as regular cupcakes because of cross contamination. I bought gluten free cupcakes for myself and regular cupcakes for the family. And had to tell her to put it in a separate box. They should inform their employees on the dangers of this before someone gets sick. Hate to sound like a prude but it hurts when you get gluten.

I'm surprised at some of the mediocre reviews, but it could be that Carytown has just upped their game since the negative ones were written. I'm a bit of a cupcake snob, and these were by far the best gluten-free cupcakes I've ever had. Tried the Cadillac (chardonnay cupcake with key lime curd filling and Grand Marnier frosting) and a Raspberry Chocolate cupcake. Both amazing!!
Appears to be a safe environment ... Cupcakes are more 'adult friendly' flavors. Would be nice if they just had vanilla or chocolate. Most options are more out of the ordinary..salted caramel, carrot cake, etc.
Maybe I hit them on a good day but I got the strawberry and granola cupcakes and they are amazing! Super moist and delicious. I am thankful that Capital Coffee was out of GF options so I could discover Carytown they also sell King of Pops popsicles!
Yes
My least fav GFree cupcake in the Richmond area, although I do appreciate that they have them available. I keep wanting to enjoy them but the ones I have had are typically dry and stale.
Not bad for GF cupcakes. The staple is a GF apple cinnamon and other flavors rotate-- call ahead to determine if it's worth your trip. Almost every cupcake I've had has been under cooked. Except the strawberry blintz---that was delicious!!! too bad they don't offer it more often. Really not convinced they're worth the money... I really want to like them but I find them mediocre. Pearl's is the best!!!
Yes
moist and delicious!
Gluten free Cupcakes are small, dry, and hard. Pearls cupcakes at grove and Libby are a million times better with more options. You wouldn't know pearls were gluten free.
They offer several gluten free flavors. I had the choice of Nutella or salted caramel. I chose the latter and it was delicious-it even had a salted caramel filling in the center!
