I booked online and told them I was coeliac. They acknowledged this on arrival and helped me select from the menu. I had salmon and fingerling potatoes. Felt very safe and the food while quite expensive was nice. This is the hotel that inspired Stephen Kings novel The Shining so wanted to eat here.

Our waiter, Kevin, was not very knowledgeable about gluten free and was unsure with a lot of my questions. He did go consult with the chef however when I ended up ordering, they brought my soup out with crostini’s despite me asking for it GF. They immediately remade it. The food was good and I did not get sick however the service was very slow and the food was not worth how much we paid for it.

I ate twice while staying at the Stanley and both times had no problems and did not get sick. Staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. First I had a charcuterie tray with wine and it was wonderful. They just left the bread out. Then I had breakfast and I had a Denver omelette with breakfast potatoes. All was wonderful.

Ate at the Whiskey Bar / Cascades at The Stanley Hotel. Can make almost anything gluten free. Had the herb roasted chicken with wild rice and it was awesome!
