Castaway's Seafood Grille

Menu clearly marked gf. Chowder was amazing and gf. Had the island tacos too. Great spot in downtown LB!

One bartender said stuff was gf, but I wasn’t confident in his knowledge. Had a cocktail and left. Came back the next night and different bartender lectured us on how they can’t guarantee anything is gf. We did get the spinach dip to go, bread in a different container (for my husband) and I was good eating it with my gf pretzels- no reaction. However, it’s going to be hit or miss on the service and they aren’t really friendly when you ask for gf. Not sure I would try it again, mostly due to the service.

Not celiac friendly. I ordered crab salad to find their salad dressing are not gf and the crab is canned. After trying to order other items found out not gf and fish is not even fresh, it’s frozen. Had to leave, not safe.

There were several gluten free options, including clam chowder. I enjoyed the fish tacos. There were also salads, steaks, and other seafood dishes that could be prepared gluten free.
