The waitress seemed like she was knowledgeable. They say they make fair tortilla chips. First thing in the morning before they cook anything else in fresh oil. What they did not think about was that they had put their crispy chicken tacos on the gluten free menu, But they cook those in the same oil as they do gluten containing items!
Not only that, But the runner who brought my food out brought my husband's food on corn tortillas, but mine was on flour. I had not realized until i'd eaten over half of a taco. while they comp my meal, This should have been an easy thing did not have happened. suffering now.

I went during happy hour and had other locals tell me they’ve safely eaten here before and I would be okay. I have celiac.
I asked the server about gluten free options for an “allergy” (always easier to say allergy than celiac) and she provided me with a “gluten friendly” menu. I asked questions about cross contact in the kitchen (“do you have a dedicated fryer”) and she had no idea what I was talking about.
She said I could eat the chips because they are corn. I clarified and said “are they fryed in a shared fryer” and she said yes. So I said “oh okay so that means I cannot eat them and they are not gluten free, no problem, thank you” and she said “well that’s your choice if you don’t want them”.
Clearly did not understand anything about gluten free safety.
I did not eat and just ate when I got home instead.
My drink was okay. The bar only had two bartenders making drinks during a super busy happy hour. The drink itself wasn’t great.
Celiac folks- do not eat here! 😩

I’ve eaten here several times now and never been sick. I’ll admit they’re not the most amazing tacos in the world but when you’re craving some it’s an easy place to go. No dedicated fryer so if you want chips & guac bring your own chips they’re totally cool with it. Most staff are prepared to handle gf orders and can answer questions.

They have a menu of "gluten free" items but do not have a dedicated kitchen space, dedicated fryer, or even dedicated tools to make your food. The only precautions taken are washing hands. Not safe, a recipe for cross contamination.
