Cha Cha Chicken

Been coming here for years. It's a place where your walk up to the counter and order. Most of what is on their menu is gluten free. I don't believe it's celiac safe though but I've never asked. Best chicken in LA imho.

I want to love this place but I nima tested the enmoladas and they came back with A LOT of gluten unfortunately.

They remade my food and there were other unsafe items on my plate.

I don’t think it’s their fault, maybe their suppliers changed because of Covid. But I just can’t recommend this place anymore :(

I nima tested the chicken enchiladas and it came back with wheat. I tested the cha cha chicken and some rice and it came back with a smile. I wouldn’t get anything fried and it seems like certain baked options aren’t good either.

Great food, the chef was very knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac. Majority of the menu was GF! 5 yr old celiac liked the arroz con pollo, us adults loved the cha cha cha chicken which was very spicy but yummy!

VERY knowledge staff!! They knew immediately what celiac was and took me through each menu item to tell me what was safe (which was most of it). The service is excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. I felt so safe eating here and did not get sick!!

Knowledgeable staff and delicious food! As soon as I said “celiac,” they told me what was GF (most of the menu, clearly marked) and what to avoid due to cross contamination (fried items like platanos). I had the cha cha chicken with rice, beans, and sweet potatoes. It was amazing, and I feel fine.

Their GF Cha Cha Chicken (Mild) and Salmon Negril was mind- blowing! We HAD to have the Cuban Flan (w whipped cream) and their fresh made Pineapple-Coconut-Lemonade (again fresca). So delicious! We will defintely be back.

Delicious gf jerk chicken tostadas. The majority of the menu is gf and the staff is very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. They warned me not to eat the plantains because they are contaminated. The food was excellent and I didn’t get sick.

85% of the items on the menu and gluten free. Amazing food. One of the only things to be careful about is getting the plantains. they are cooled on the same surface as the non gluten free food. As a substitute, ask for sweet potatoes instead. Highly would recommend if you are in the area!

This place amazing. Lots of gluten free options.

Came in tonight to get some food for the road as we headed home to Vegas. To say that it was good is an understatement. This was the best chicken I've ever had (cha cha mild), the fried plantains were to die for, and the rice was so good. Even better- no cross contamination. I will go back the next time I'm in Santa Monica, and lament weekly that we need one here in Vegas.

Must have...chicken empanadas. the dough is soft. Our favorite thing on the menu. Super chill vibe.

A mix of Caribbean Fare, this place is a refreshing change for the gluten intolerant. The order taker (this is a covered outdoor venue with a walk-up order window...very Caribbean) was very knowledgeable about gluten intolerance and was able to assist me in ordering a delicious meal. Be sure to try the gluten free empanadas...the beef were my favorite!
