Chennai Masala

Because this restaurant is in Find Me Gluten Free, we went to get takeout. They were not busy so we were able to ask questions as we looked through the menu. After talking to two people, our takeaway was that they add all purpose flour to things that are naturally GF in Indian food. Dosa and Mali Kafta both somehow have gluten here. They were very nice, but we left without ordering anything.

The food is delicious. Staff have always helped me navigate to safe options--both on the lunch buffet and off the menu in the evenings. It's my go-to safe Indian option on the west side of Portland.
