Went to Cheryl's for brunch on Saturday. I ordered one of the Benedicts without the English muffin. The server offered a gluten free bun in its place. I asked for the bun to be on the side knowing that it probably contains xanthan gum (or some other ingredient), which I react to. The dish came out with the bun under the Benedict 🙄
I scraped most of the stuff off but ended up taking a couple bites of the bun to try it and sure enough by the time we paid the bill I was feeling the effects of the bun🤢
Other than that the food tasted good. I would skip the gluten free breads though.
I couldn't tell anything about cross contamination or their safety measures especially after having a reaction to the bun.
