We were greeted by a lovely waitress who was very familiar with gluten free options. The food was delicious and we did not feel deprived by having to eat GF.

The food was very delicious, there were four in our group who were eating Lebanese food for the first time and became fans! Thank You Chez Rita for introducing this marvelous cuisine in such an incredibly delicious way. For those who are severely Gluten Intolerant or Celiac, ask them not to serve the main dishes on pitas. I am not severely intolerant but sensitive enough. Had I known before that this is how they served the food I would have asked them not to do so, but I did not experience any I’ll effects. All in all, if you’re in Strasbourg you should not miss Chez Rita’s Gluten Intolerant or not!!

When arriving we discussed the GF option with the lady. She assure us it would be ok. When ordering , we asked again, she proposed the Chez Rita dish with grilled meat and fries, it would be GF. When she brought the plate howevever, we noted the meat was served on a piece of flat bread. She apologised, and brought a new plate, with the meat coming a bit later. Even this meat was then served on flatbread ! Only the 3rd time did they do this right.

This was our best meal in Strasbourg. Gf or not, the chicken skewers and tzatziki were incredible. We did have to ask for gluten free, but the staff went really out of their way to take care of us. It helped that we came in right when they opened. Two different staff members confirmed the fries were fried in their own fryer. Make sure to ask for no bread or croutons, they are aware of it but it helps to remind that it shouldn't garnish the plate either. We saw that pita and croutons came on the plate usually if they didn't modify.
