I specifically order a gluten free grilled sandwich and got home to find out that it had a bun on it. Called them back and they didn't seem to understand why I was complaining. But, when they did correct the order it was delicious. I don't care for their grilled nuggets but their fries are a go to thing for me. They also didn't know what was and wasn't GF, so I suggest looking at their online allergens list before you go.
I've changed my review on this. I believe ive been glutened from the fries twice, even though they are supposed to be gf and cooked in their own fryer, but perhaps they are not cooked like that. I haven't asked them yet. I do know that I can eat the grilled chicken salad fine though
Chick-fil-A is the best I would eat there any day
My boyfriend and I are on a trip from Florida back to Pittsburgh. Stopped here because this app suggested it and said they had a gluten free menu! So I carefully looked at the menu and made my selection! We got to the drive thru and my boyfriend told the cashier my order and specified that it must be gluten free... She repeated the order back to us we got our food and pulled away. I ate the waffle fries that I'm not almost positive were not gluten free or were made with any attempt to be gluten free considering when I went to open the grilled nuggets I ordered they were fried nuggets instead! I'm sorry but I think that that cashier had no care in the world other than getting people in and out and paid no attention to the order at all and really could have cared less if I get sick or not!
I was in the area looking for something quick on the way home. Particularly a salad and saw Chick Fil A and looked up online and saw they listed some gluten free foods/items they had. Although the name of their chicken salad was a tad different, I got the Market fresh chicken salad and boy oh boy did it please my pallet!!! They may not have a ton of options but this was by far the best gf salad I ever had!
I told them I am celiac and asked for a glove change to avoid gluten and they said sure no problem, and handed me a full on gluten sandwich. I asked for the manager and he said "so it's the seasoning on the chicken that's an issue, right?" I said no, it's BREAD. And he said "well would white bread be okay?" Really?
I have eaten at this location several times and it is always a wonderful experience. The waffle fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. I had a chicken sandwich on a lettuce wrap. Many of the sauces are gluten free too. Juan the manager was very helpful and took extra care to make sure that my meal was prepared correctly.
Only very few locations have gluten free buns and the managers are quick to tell you that they do not cater to gluten free individuals. The one at the Rogers location was kind of rude about it. When your restaurant advertises an item don't be shocked if a customer asks about it. We went when they were not busy (my daughter and I were the only people in line) and he couldn't be bothered to answer any questions. My daughter who has Celiac Disease ordered what should have been gluten free but got very sick. I wouldn't recommend them for Celiac sufferers.
I was skeptical about eating here, but I had the grilled chicken nuggets and fries and I didn't get sick! I also ordered a grilled chicken salad. Even most of the dipping sauces are GF. I had the ranch and buffalo sauces and was fine. Will definitely be back!
The fries in a separate frier were great. The manager went on a rant about how they wouldn't make money if they did gluten free buns and didn't seem to understand I needed to make sure the grilled nuggets didn't touch anything else. They made me sick right away. So sad because I love chick fil a so much.
Dwarf House Chick-fil-a staff are NOT trained to handle GF items for those with Celiac. My husband stressed that the order was for someone with Celiac and asked if they would change gloves. They said no problem. When I opened my meal, I had regular breaded chicken nuggets in spite of ordering grilled in front of the manager and giving clear information about celiac!!!! Avoid!!!!!
they're very considerate and will let you swap things out if there's no gfree option listed. for example, I went here with a friend once who only wanted the kids sized meal and they let her have the grilled nuggets even tho thays not normally an option for the kids meals.
