Just had my second experience with this Chipotle, within about 45 minutes I had an awful reaction. I would not trust this one even if they change gloves and wipe things down, I think the food had already been contaminated which is really unfortunate because most of it is naturally gluten free. :( Not safe for sensitive celiacs, but probably fine for those following a gf diet.

I have been to this location more than once. Tell them you are celiac right away and they will wipe down the counter, change out the utensils, wash their hands and change their gloves. I try not to go at "peak" meal times, so it is easier on staff and other customers. I get vegan burrito bowls and they are quite tasty and I have not been ill.

We visited Chipotle while visiting Flagstaff on the way to the Grand Canyon. My daughter has Celiac’s disease and ordered a kids taco plate without the taco shell. She got steak, rice, and beans. We alerted them of her gluten allergy. They immediately wiped down the food service area and got new utensils to make her plate. She did not eat any chips but I have been told that they are gf. She had no issues afterwards. We would definitely recommend Chipotle to those visiting Flagstaff with Celiac’s.

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Did a great job of ensuring my meal was gluten-free. Gloves and utensils were changed and one person completed the meal.
Very happy with their concern for my gluten intolerance!

Unfortunaly we used to trust this place. visited again and paid attention... tons of cross contamination that cannot be fixed. they go the extra mile when you tell them but they cannot fix what was done in cooking the . after the item was cooked they cut it up on a filthy table. As the pieces dropped off the cutting board they picked it back up and put it in with the rest. Also in the line evry time they give someone a scoop of something they bang the spoon out on the tortilla and put it back in the bowl. we no longer trust it here.

Thank goodness for Chipotle! Always good, always gf. Daughter is celiac and has burrito bowls. No problems.

This Chipotle does a wonderful job with gluten free orders. If there happens to be a staff member that is a little unsure of what to do with a GF order, a manager always steps in to show them. And they have great attitudes about the extra time and effort it takes to make our food safe. My Celiac son and I have eaten here many times!

My go to place for clean Mexican food
good place to eat gf. soft and hard tacos are gluten free as well as the burito bowl. the staff always changes their gloves and changes the utensils for the food. they are always happy to do gluten free even when the line is long. everything on the menu is gluten free except the flour wraps for buritos.
Best GF fast food experience so far. They didn’t make me feel weird or like I took too much time. I told them I have a gluten allergy and the line stopped. They changed spoons for what I ordered, wiped down the counter, got out fresh cheese and lettuce, changed gloves, and one person took charge of my order seeing it through to the end of the line. I know there’s still a risk, but I’m thankful for all they did to help me eat with my family.

I was a little concerned when I read it had been two years since the last review, but I went and as soon as I told the server I had celiac, she immediately offered to wipe down the surfaces and change gloves. She did it so cheerfully also!

Lots of gluten free options, good choice for catering, and ability to sort through gluten free options by using their dietary filter online. There are good options available if you're dairy free/vegan as well!

While there’s obviously a chance of cross contamination, the workers here are very nice and accommodating. Everything except for the tortillas is gluten free. I always ask them to change their gloves and this past time a worker felt her glove touch the tortillas after changing them so she immediately changed them again! They never have a problem getting lettuce or cheese from the back which I appreciate! I have not had a reaction here yet and I am very sensitive!

I told the server I was gluten sensitive, and she immediately changed gloves and handled all my food herself.
