Almost everything is naturally gluten free, except for flour tortillas. Good food at a good price.
My husband and I stumbled across this facility while driving from Indianapolis to Chicago on their opening weekend. I'm blown away! I actually asked to speak to their manager to thank him for how his staff handled my gluten allergy. They immediately wash their hands and arms, change their gloves, and get all new spoons for the meat, beans, and veggies. Any item past that is pulled from the back so there is absolutely no risk of cross contamination in any of their food (lettuce and cheese...yay!). The staff work wonderfully with you and never for a moment make you feel like you are being a pain...even though everything stops for you. I wish that every Chipotle responded this way to allergies! Congrats on being a must-stop every time we drive through!
When I told my server recently that I was allergic to gluten, not only did he change his gloves and wash his hands, but he got a clean bowl for me from under the counter so there was not the slightest chance of cross-contamination. Then he walked my order down the line and bagged it himself. I am DEFINITELY going back to this restaurant!
The only thing you can eat here that is completely gluten free is a rice bowl. They toast the corn tortillas in the same machines they do the wheat so even if they say it's gluten free they don't completely understand. But the serves are friendly and all willing to change their gloves and wash their hands when asked.
Always great. Ask server to change their gloves and to walk your order down to the register with no one else touching your order. everything is gluten free except for flour tortilla and tortillas warmer. I like the rice bowl with everything on it - I love the chicken. Beware, the chips are addictive- they are so good
One of the limited places we can eat due to my husband having to always eat gluten free. He has never had a problem with cross contamination here and the food is great. I also love the food which is a plus!
Everything is GF except their flour tortillas. Ask them to wipe down the tortilla warmer for the corn tortillas, or get a bowl. They'll also change gloves. Very good!
Always accomodating. Let them know you need them to change their gloves, then get the burrito bowl with any toppings. NOTE: if getting lettuce or cheese, have them grab it from a new container in the back (they grab with their hand & could csuse cross contamination on the line). 5-stars would be if they had GF tortillas & chips ENJOY!
It is Terminal F of the Philly airport.
Conscientious staff changed gloves and utensils without me asking. Everything on the line is gluten free except the tortillas. They got fresh bin of lettuce since that is touched by gloved hands that also handle tortillas. Plus, antibiotic-free meat.
I've always eaten here, even before I was GF. My first GF experience here was amazing. I felt like they truly cared. They immediately changed all of the utensils in each of the different bins, changed their gloves, all without me having to ask or making me feel bad about having a gluten allergy. I would definitely recommend going here, simply based off of their attitudes.
Delicious food and I've never had a problem here. The staff is happy to change their gloves and don't complain. I love going to a restaurant where I can eat almost everything on the menu.
We love the Mankato Chipotle! We go every time we're in town because it's fantastic food, good prices, healthy stuff and they are great about understanding GF stuff. I always say that we're GF before we order and they automatically change their gloves and are cautious about everything they touch. Everything on the menu is GF other than the flour tortillas but don't order corn tortillas because they will sometimes warm them in the press that is used for thousands of flour tortillas and obviously not at all safe. We just order burrito bowls and are happy. The staff is also very friendly. We are always happy there.
Food was good, but no gluten free wraps and all the food seems to be cooked in the same area, so contamination could be a issue if you are truly gluten free. 8 bites in and my stomach started hurting. I wouldn't waste my time going there again
I went to the one on Veterans. When I asked for corn tortillas and stated that I had gluten allergies the lady handling the tortillas did nothing different. She threw them in the same steamer as any other shell would have gone into. I am not super sensitive so I am not overly concerned, but it would have been nice if she would have acknowledged me. The tacos were really good, but now I am waiting for the after effects if she used the wrong tortillas or they were contaminated enough to impact me.
I have never gotten sick from chipotle. It is always my go to. You can ask the individuals at the front to change their gloves for you since they usually touch flour tortillas. Burrito bowls are the best way to go. Everything except the tortillas is gluten free.
Just had the best experience at this location. I told them I had a gluten allergy and they changed gloves and all utensils out of everything! They did it seamlessly so I didn't feel awkward! Great job!!!
Oh, Chipotle. My go-to gluten-free "I don't feel like cooking" meal. Thank you for existing! This specific location is great with avoiding cross-contamination risks. The staff is always happy to change their gloves when assembling my burrito bowl or salad, and I have yet to have any issues eating here. It's not the most authentic place in the world, but it's pretty yummy and I trust it. So I will be a customer for life.
Chipotle is my favorite place to get a gluten free meal. I dine here once a month at least and have not had a problem yet. Each time I was there, a staff member changed gloves. Once, I heard a worker warn another not to touch my dish as it was gf. Needless to say, I was impressed! The burrito bowls are fabulous!!
The person below me must be a booger. Anytime I've gone and tell them I'm gluten free, one person takes off their gloves, washes their hands, and gets new gloves. They offer to change out the spoons or utensils. And one person handles my food the whole time. Absolute A++++++ effort.
One of our favorite places to go. They always change gloves and utensils when we tell them it's an allergy.
Love the service here, and great care in preparing good without cross contamination.
they were really good about making sure our order was not contaminated. they made an extra effort to accommodate us. I highly recommend this place.
My experiences with staff have generally been good - all have changed gloves upon request and a few have even brought out new bins of toppings that other gloves may have reached into and contaminated BUT - last time I was there, I watched one of them dump white rice off a flour tortilla back into the bin after the customer before me clarified she had asked for brown. This place may work for those who are just GF but it is not safe for celiacs concerned about cross-contamination. I'm bummed cause they used to be a quick, go to spot for me!
Very good service, friendly helpful staff. When I mentioned my gluten sensitivity the employee immediately washed his hands, changed his gloves and got a fresh bowl for my food, since he had already touched the other one with contaminated gloves. Great experience, and no ill effects
Every time we have been to Chipotles they have been very willing to accommodate needs. My daughter is Celiac so we can't even have contamination. Since the only thing on their menu that has gluten is the flour tortillas, they change gloves and make sure they use tinfoil under everything. She has never had an episode, but we do stand there and make sure. We also find this a healthier fast food alternative.
I wanted to single out this location because they do an excellent job with keeping gluten and soy allergens safe from people - changing gloves and spoons on request. They also have two staff who ARE celiac and can really steer you towards the safest items. And they are willing to experiment on request (ever order off the "secret" menu like - nachos, corn tortilla quesadillas, etc.? It's a lot of fun.) This is my favorite location for the most friendly, flexible, and great staff. I've also used them for catering and they do a great job.
Best! I rarely ever get to stuff my face and this is one place I get to! Mmmmm!!
I eat here probably twice a month (maybe more often) and have never had a problem. The individual staff members may not have specific GF education, but the reality is that almost all of the products running through all Chipotles are GF. The notable exception is their soft, flour tortillas. They also note in their online information that the corn salsa should be avoided by individuals with severe reactivity as it may be cross-contaminated. It's great that Chipotle as an organization did their homework and is so forward with information! The biggest reason I don't eat here more often is the wait at lunchtime can be unbelievable. Overall, I still love it.
98 percent gluten free
I research everything on their website and ordered on line. Everything tested fantastic. I got the three chicken corn hard shell tacos, white rice, salsa, black beans, lettuce and a side of guacamole. Only thing I would suggest is if your getting it to go be prepared for soggy taco shell. The tomatoes salsa soaks it to death. Other than that like I said I had no reaction and it was fantastic.
I'm amending my previous rating... seems like they have an almost all new staff since I started going here and the new staff is amazing. They know to change their gloves and grab fresh lettuce when they see me coming in... much better than they used to be and the staff is great. My usual lunch spot now :)
love this place
Was so disappointed by the attitude by the staff. When I told them I had a gluten allergy, they huffed and rolled their eyes. And it was obviously directed towards us as we were the only people ordering. Not exactly what you expect when the restaurant claims they are trained to handle allergies. Food was fine, but won't be returning to this location.
I love this place. I was recently diagnosed celiac and was happy I could eat there. Was my favorite before gluten. intolerance. The staff is very nice when asked to change gloves which is better than most place that male you feel like a freak. Nice job!
Staff changed their gloves as soon as I mentioned my daughter and I can't eat gluten. However I still have a stomachs ache, most likely from cross contamination. I don't understand how some people never have a problem, but nearly every time I've tried Chipotle I've gotten ill. Seems like it's so hit and miss. Their food is great, but I think I'll pass from now on.
I always get sick here. I think it's because they touch their spoons from all their ingredients to the flour tortillas and put it back into the containers... Contaminating everything! Celiacs stay away!
Always a great experience. Make sure you tell them you have a gluten allergy. One person will walk you down the line to ensure no cross contamination. Food is excellent and we have never had a problem. Staff really knows what they are doing!
It's fun to be gf involved in a place like this but it's always a gamble with so many people and utensils. When I have gone in when it is slow, they are accommodating and change all the spoons and gloves and such. I still haven't felt well after the few times I've been there, though.
ordered through app and when I got there they had not made it yet. The guy did not know I was there watching, however, he washed his hands and everything just as he should. I was pleasantly surprised by this. yummy just like other locations and have yet to get ill (I eat at Chipotle a few times a week).
The first time I went to to this location I had an experience similar to a previous reviewer where no one there understood gluten allergies/sensitivity. I ended up not getting my normal order since I was worried about cross contamination. I contacted Chipotle via email about my experience and ended up hearing from the store manager about my concern. He assured me that he was going to meet with his team about food allergies and the proper procedures to prepare food when someone w declares an allergy. I returned today (a couple weeks later) and had a much better experience. I will continue to visit this location moving forward. ..
I just cannot understand how a great chain like Chipotle can offer completely different experiences based on region. St. Louis gets it! Houston does not!! This location was my second attempt to eat Chipotle in our new city of Houston, the first location changed their gloves but then began handling a floor tortilla and when I said I wanted a "naked burrito bowl" I was told they don't have them! I said I'll come back another time. Then I gave this location a try because if the previous reviews. I told them I needed to eat gluten free and they looked at me like it was the first time they heard of gluten. When we got to the cheese and lettuce I asked if they had fresh batches below because of the gloves with flour reaching into it. They said it was fresh today and it was all they had, even after I said I cannot have anything that touched flour, so I went without cheese and lettuce. Then the topper, they comped the meal when I got to register, they thought I was asking for a "FREE" meal! Thank you for the free meal but I really enjoy paying for my gluten free meals that are prepared properly! Please Houston and Chipotle please offer people who don't have a choice reliable gluten free meals and options!
I asked the preparer for Gluten free and she told me they served either a hard shell or soft shell taco gluten free and the items on the bar. She changed gloves and is the only one that handled my tacos instead of passing them down the line.
This is the BEST Chipotle location. When I ask them to change their gloves, their first question was "do you have a food allergy?" I tell them yes, even though I have Celiac, for the sake of explaining myself. They take off old gloves, wash hands, put on new gloves, ask another staff member to wipe down the line, the person makes my bowl all the way through and doesn't let anyone else touch my bowl. They even offer to bring out new cheese and lettuce that hasn't been reached into with contaminated gloves. The icing on the cake -- they THANKED me for letting them know about my needs. These people are rock stars.
Chipotle is my go-to lunch and dinner spot! The staff is very willing to change gloves and scoops to accommodate for gluten allergies.
I'm an extremely sensitive Celiac with other food intolerances that make eating out a huge challenge. I've gotten sick from cross-contamination at other Chipotle locations. This location totally eased my concerns. Once I said I had an "extreme gluten allergy" (which isn't really true, but most people don't understand Celiac) the food server immediately washed her hands, changed gloves, got clean utensils for all the food I requested, and wouldn't allow any other worker to handle my bowl. I felt incredibly relieved to be treated with such respect, understanding, and compassion. A huge Thank You to her and to the training here. I'll be patronizing this location again.
Lots of gluten free choices and they are very nice. They will change their gloves if you mention you are gluten intolerant. I usually just avoid the items they grab with their hands (basically a bowl with no lettuce or cilantro) and I've never had a problem.
I walked in with my kids and told them we have a gluten allergy. He didn't change his gloves before grabbing our tortillas and when I asked him to, he did but then put the same cross-contaminated tortillas directly on the press. This place is a cross contamination nightmare! When I called management, they said they'd "bawl him out" because he had been trained and knew better.
Our whole family is GF and Chipotle always comes through for us with their delicious and healthy fare!
Would not recommend to anyone with Celiac due to cross contamination. Also very confused and un knowledgable staff. When I asked if they had any GF options the first staff said "wait what?... Gluten free???" Then he asked the second employee behind the counter and her response was just as confused. It's pretty disgusting looking but I can't say for sure bc I opted not to trust it. Location on walnut st. In philly. If I could vote zero star I would have
they are great about washing hands wiping down the counters even when they are busy! highly sensitive and never gotten sick with the bowls :)
I went in during a busy time of day (about 5.30 pm or so) and they were hopping, as might be expected of a Chipotle around the corner from an university campus! I asked the server to change his gloves because I had an allergy. He immediately asked if it was gluten and then took my order down the line the entire way himself, which caused a little bit of confusion and a short hold-up for those behind me. He told the other workers that it was a gluten allergy and he had to walk the order through himself. I wish I could remember his name. I feel very safe eating here anytime.
Very pleased I am a very sensitive celiac As soon as I said gluten free they changed gloves and were very careful. The only gluten containing items in the whole are the flour tortillas I had the burrito bowl. Amazing!!!! The chips are gluten free too
The staff including management have no idea what normally happens at a Chipotle for GF diners. The girl who was waiting on us walked away several times and then a man came to wait on us. He not only didn't know the protocol, he refused to listen to my instructions. Other workers thought it was funny so we just walked out. It's a real shame. Chipotle is normally a chain that is very gluten friendly.
We normally like and have great service from Chipotle while traveling. This location in Gainesville did an extremely poor job with Gf, specially in avoiding CC. Had to explain multiple times how my son's food needed to be prepared, about 25 minutes and too many items that had to be pitched we finally had a meal we could serve him. I was most upset by the prep cooks making negative comments about our dietary needs. If it were not a desperate situation for on the road meal option for my kid, we would have walked out.
had to explain to three employees what gluten is they had no idea. had to have employee follow meal through another employee did yell at her because she stayed with me the whole time.. he did this in front of me. I was here on a Friday evening before close... just explain that you have celiac and ask them to change gloves.
They couldn't serve me because if contamination and requested I call ahead next time. I had asked for untouched items since their utensils touch the tortillas. If I would have waited a half hour, they could have accommodated. Inconvenient but I understand. I have eaten before at the Ann Arbor location with good success.
Always great here! Great food and service. Ask and they will change gloves for you to avoid cross-contamination. Do know that the tortilla chips are fried in the same oil as the flour tortillas. They told me this but the guy had to ask around before he knew for sure. Thankfully he erred on the side of caution and didn't say if they were gf or not until he asked his manager!
Gluten free options
FAVORITE celiac-friendly to-go food! If you mention you need to eat gluten free, the whole line of workers will change their gloves to ensure no cross-contamination. They take this seriously (though of course there is inherent risk in gluten potentially dropping in any of the bins of food on the bar). Haven't gotten sick yet here!
I can always find something to eat here..they also offer corn tortillas!
Ask them to change gloves for you and ask the first person to only make your item to prevent cross contamination. They will do it..make sure you watch them I had one woman once who washed hands changed gloves started my bowl and then had to go get another tortilla for another customer and touched the shell then tried to touch my food. †Update- in the last month or so I have eaten here twice. Both times I have had cross contamination and I am done here. The glutening has been pretty severe reactions. the other chipotles in the area have been more careful just not this one. DO NOT GO HERE. Loosing two stars. So pissed!!!!!
We go here a lot, mostly because it's our quickest option when eating out. The risk for cross-contamination can be pretty high, but we ask them to change their gloves. I think we are even going to ask them to use foil to heat up the corn tortillas from now on. If you are super sensitive though it probably isn't the safest place to eat.
Safe great food!
The only thing not gluten free here are the tortillas! I LOVE chipotle!
Best Chipotle in town!
I get the burrito bowl without cheese or lettuce since those are the only two things that use a gloved hand (cross contamination) to grab instead of a scoop.
Everything is safe here besides the flour tortillas. Knowledgable staff. I have never gotten sick here.
Most gluten free friendly restaurant staff I have ever seen. Not only happily changed gloves but wiped everything down, changed utensils and got fresh cheese and lettuce from the back. Long time since I have eaten out with such confidence that I wasn't going to get sick!!! Amazing staff with great attitude!!
Very knowledgable on food allergies.
Chipotle is my go-to fast food when traveling. I was happy to find this one here just when it looked like I'd have to go hungry today. You gotta watch for cross contamination with the gloves but bowl ingredients are served with tongs or spoons.
Love it here. They have soft corn tortillas.
Chipotle is one of my go to places for GF food on the quick & cheap. I stick with bowls & crispy tacos. Avoid the flour tortillas, I also avoid the tortilla warmer just in case, & the red hot sauce as last time the published something on the sauces (long time ago) that was not GF. They are very accommodating, try it if you haven't!
The staff was extremely helpful when I mentioned in gluten free. The server asked me if I would like her to change gloves! That never happens at other eateries. The server explained how the ordering process works, and let us sample ALL of the meats before we chose. The manager explained about their sustainable good sources, NO GMOs and the local foods they purchase when in season. Because it was our first visit, the manager comped our drinks! All in all, an EXCELLENT visit to Chipotle Mexican Grill!!
So nice to have so many GF options! Just stay away from the flour tortillas and you're golden!
Every time i go in its a hassle. They don't want to get new gloves, wash their hands, use new spoons. Cross contamination is way too easy. I get sick almost every time with an exception of a gentlemen getting fresh everything for me without me asking him to, all I ask was for him to wash his hands and put new gloves on and he asked me what I'm allergic to and i said i have celiac disease. He is a rare exception only ONCE did this happen.
this was my 1st time to eat at Chipotle but I had good things about them back home. Sadly, the staff was clueless about gluten and had no gluten free menu available. There was also a language barrier, as English was a 2nd language for each of the workers, so I ended up making my best guess. I won't return to this location, but I will try them in other locations.
I've had good experiences at this location - much better than Archer Road - but it does seem generally it's pretty hit or miss at any location depending on who is working, how busy they are, and how much attention they're paying to ingredients and quality. Lots of staff and customers seem to keep this location humming, and my salads are good.
Chipotle is usually a reliable go-to when looking for gluten-free. But this location was pretty bad with the cross-contamination issue. They didn't understand us when we asked that they change gloves. And they kept putting our corn tortillas with the flour ones! We finally left without getting anything.
Good food, although you have to be sure to have the whole line change their gloves and watch with a hawk eye to make sure they are doing what needs to be done. Make sure you say gluten allergy or celiac disease, not just gluten free so they take it more seriously.
Employees are great here! You mention gluten allergy and they smile and remove their gloves, wash their hands, put new gloves on, and follow you down the line to avoid any cross contamination. AWESOME!!!
when I ask is she could change her gloves she put the new ones one the flower tortilla and could not understand why that was bad. then when I asked for rice from the back she thought I was nuts but when she just made my husbands just before mine his shell hung 1/2 in the rice then hung over most everything all the way down causing cross contamination along the entire line. Not gluten free practices. They would not let me have anything from the back.
The server seemed to understand about gluten free, and upon request, changed her gloves. Then, when informing the next server on the assembly line that I was gluten free and required clean gloves, she absentmindedly put a wheat tortilla in to be warmed, and then put my corn tacos in a plate. When I pointed this out, she at first denied a problem, and then acquiesced to my request that she again change her gloves. No apology. The shredded beef for the taco was very wet, which resulted in a soggy taco that fell apart. This place was not cheap and the service and food quality should be better.
I love eating here. I never get sick. Everything is gluten free except the flour tortillas. The bowls are great and so are the tacos.
For contaminated there.
Just CAN'T go wrong with Chipotle! On days where we are in a hurry, we love walking in, going straight to the head of the line (and there's always a line) and picking up our food and getting out within minutes all thanks to being able to order with their app! You can even save your orders for even faster app interaction.
This is NOT a restaurant for severe Gluten allergies or celiac. I've eaten at an chipotle 3 times, first time I was fine, second and third spent two days sick. They may change gloves, wash their hands, and even get clean spoons but watch carefully the way they prepare other customers gluten-food, spoon in food up put in bowl on burrito touching everything (contaminating it with gluten) and put it back in food container (contaminating all of the contents) then comes along your "gluten free" food and on goes that ingredient or topping and no longer is your good safe. I will never eat at chipoltle again.
Such a great experience! My server was so great and accommodating. She not only changed her gloves for me, but also went back and washed her hands. Then when I told her I would need the next server in line to change her gloves, she offered to go ahead and finish my order, so it would not get cross-contaminated. Love this place!
Delish! Everything is GF except for their wheat tortillas. Their website mentions allergy info and if you celiac they will even change their gloves if you ask. Clean place, always nice staff, food is amazing. You'd better pick up some of those amazing chips!
The burritos & salads are fantastic!
Great for GF! Plus you can also go completely vegan and gluten free and still have an incredibly delicious and filling meal in moments! No growth hormones are used in the meat or dairy and now they are going GMO free! I eat here at least once a week and never feel bad about it!
The fact that the staff is happy to change their gloves is sweet, however, it won't necessarily make a difference if they've already been reaching into ingredients with traces of wheat on previously worn gloves. The thought is quite appreciated though. Sincerely, A Celiac's Disease Glutard :-)
I wouldn't consider this Chipotle GF. I was glutened pretty bad a couple weeks ago. I ordered using the Chipotle app and added special instructions that the meal needed to be GF. If I were to dare return, I would go inside and make sure the server picked ingredients that were not already dipped into and of course change their gloves. I'm not willing to chance it though.
We went here because it had good reviews on this site. When we asked about a gf menu we were told the only gf item is bowls. My daughter ordered a bowl. We asked about the chips and were first told they were gf then she went back and checked and they are not gf. She felt sick after eating but can't be sure if it was gf or too much dairy. They just seemed not to really care or be well informed.
Never had an issue with contamination. They do take extra precautions, which is reassuring.
Worst ever. Stood in line for 20 minutes and they ran out of food!
Would not recommend. Had to ask 3 different staff before one could help me with gluten free preparation. I could tell by their body language that they would rather be doing something else. This is not a gluten free friendly place and I would have just walked out had I not been meeting someone there that had already ordered. I've been to other Chipolte locations and have never been treated this poorly.
Everything here is delicious!
Without hesitation or qualification, this is the best Chipotle I have visited anywhere ever. I believe one of the managers has a gluten sensitivity but all of their management is tremendously literate and accommodating. Be sure to tell them of your issue and they will wash their hands, change their gloves and one individual will walk your order through. Plus the staff here is friendly and fast.
DON'T DO IT!!!!!! I asked what had gluten in it today and they went and got the cook. When I repeated the question to him, he simply looked confused and asked me what gluten was. I was not impressed and have been very sick since I've been home. One of the worst times I've gotten sick. I'm only gluten intolerant and have no problems with cc but this was horrible!!!!!
2.5 stars. My son liked the food but I was unimpressed with the staffs knowledge of the what was or was not gf. I was concerned when they warmed the corn tortillas on the same unit as the flour tortillas. The girl behind the counter dismissed my concerns about cross contamination instead of listening and checking with the manager.
Chipotle is great gf place to eat. We eat here often. Be sure to identify yourself as a celiac or as gluten intolerant so that they change their gloves & serving spoons. In addition if cross contamination is an issue for you ask for fresh lettuce & cheese because gloves that have touched flour tortillas have been used in the lettuce and cheese. I gave a 4 because I would love to eat the soft corn tortillas but they do not have a separate warmer.
Once again Chipotle comes through with a great GF meal.
Chipotle is amazing for people with food allergies, and so delicious. Most locations bend over backward to prevent cc. At this location however, I have to watch my food the entire time to end up with a safe meal. The employees communicate poorly with customers and each other, and then the cashier gets annoyed that I don't trust in their training.
They did a phenomenal job for me. he changed his gloves, got lettuce and cheese from the back that had not been touched yet and used a paper towel to hold the spoons, he handled my food all the way down the line and I had no problems. I was really impressed.
They're so nice here. I go usually once a week, and they the whole protocol once I walk in the door- change gloves, wipe down the counter, only one person handles my food. They're wicked nice over here and as long as someone who isn't new is working there, you're safe!
Awesome service! Changed gloves, used different tongs, everything is gluten free except for the floor tortillas.
stick with the bowls.
perfect for gluten free fast food. The employees even changed their gloves for me when I mentioned I am allergic to gluten. That was nice and especially since I didn't have to ask. Everything is gluten free except for the tortillas of course. I got the veggie bowl and didn't get sick.
my daughter eats here frequently. she is also vegetariian s o she has rice beans and cheese. she loves it. and they charge less for only 3 items.
My go to "fast food" ish restaurant. They don't seem to mine when I ask them to use fresh gloves. I've eaten there a lot and have never been glutened
I visited at 12:30 in the afternoon, and the line was looooong! I barely got the words gluten intolerant out of my mouth before the preparer got a big smile on his face and started peeling off his gloves. He walked down the line with my food, making sure there was no contamination. Needless to say, I left with my own smile and had delicious food to beat! I love Chipotle!!!!!
Everything is gluten free except for the tortilla.
One of my favorite spots!
If you've never read the story behind this restaurant chain, you're missing out. Everything is fresh, never made ahead and stored overnight. They support local growers and naturally raised meats. The best part though is the freshness of the flavors and you can't complain about the price either. I think the only item not Gfree on the menu is the burrito, which is basically the bowl anyway without the tortilla.
Very gluten free friendly. Offered suggestions, and even offered to use separate utensils to get ingredients out (to help with cross contamination.)
It's 50/50 I got sick twice here. No more
Great food. Fabulous for gluten free dietary needs (also free from nuts, fish, and shellfish). The staff however didn't give me what I asked for so I was overcharged and then they also forgot my salsa, but I'm hoping it was just an "off day" due to who was working... as I said food was delicious though.
Enjoyed a delicious meal with no worries. Would recommend this to anyone I know, gluten free or not.
They do try very hard to protect you if you are gluten free, however I have still gotten sick after eating there a few times, so if you are allergic I don't recommend it.
This particular location is one of two that I have had a problem with from the Chipotle chain. The staff when asked to handle gluten free bowls they did not know they needed to follow the cleanliness protocol of throw away the gloves, wash hands, and apply new gloves. Also when adding the garnishments of cheese and lettuce which is handled by hand and should have had its own dedicated location. But instead they had touched the generalized handled ingredients without use of a dedicated section to said garnishments. Will be filing a complaint for this particular location as the staff did not understand the gluten free and cleanliness protocol and because of it became sick.
Great gluten free options! Staff is willing to change their gloves and utensils upon request. Everything is gluten free except for the flour tortillas and the soft corn tortillas are warmed on the same warmer so avoid those or ask for them not to be warmed. Hard taco shells are safe as are the bowls. All salsas, meats and beans are gluten free.
Awesome!!! Everything is gluten free except the flour tortillas. Staff is very friendly and will change their gloves and utensils if you tell them you have celiacs or a gluten allergy. Bowls, hard corn tacos, all meats, beans, rice and salsas are gluten free.
Very concerned over my diet @ S Campbell & National locations. Changed gloves, pulled out NEW meat, cheese, lettuce, etc for my order vs using what was on the line. Have had chips & guacamole without any issues ever! I was so pleased after so many bad experiences with the way they handled themselves, my concerns/food, etc. Will go back & have many, many times!
Great food but I do wish they'd change gloves between orders. I haven't gotten sick (yet), but am a bit worried about the possibility of cross contamination.
This particular location is a bit short tempered with celiac guests and doesn't take the disease seriously. I was laughed out of the restaurant when asked them to change gloves. BUT I have found OTHER chipotles to be very safe and accommodating when it comes to Celiacs.
IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE OR GLUTEN INTOLERANCE DO NOT GO! The waitstaff do not listen to your request to change their gloves after handling the tortillas. You have to tell them over and over again you are ordering gluten free and they do not accomidate. Both times I have eaten at a Chipotle (this location and Southlands), I have gotten incredibly ill.
Told the server I was gluten-free and he looked at me confused so I repeated that the next three orders were gluten-free and he nodded at me. I noticed he was resting his hand on the tortillas so I asked him to change his gloves. The food is always good here but more education is definitely needed.
Love being able to order any burrito bowl, any topping. Appreciate the accommodation with changing the gloves.
Love this place. They will wash hands and change gloves. Also they will use new lettuce and cheese if you want it. For those of you with soy allergies, all their stuff is cooked in a soy oil. I have a soy allergy and still eat there. I seem to only have minimal side effects.
They person behind the counter happily switched gloves when asked and made my tacos neatly. I liked the chicken better than the steak, which I found to be too chewy. Corn shells fragile, but tasty. Love that there are fresh limes to put in beverages. : )
It's a good thing that I could see what is going on in the kitchen. I see a lot of cross-contamination. They use spoons from a bowl of condiments onto a regular flour (rubbed on it) and then put it back into the condiments. I cringed and left. I didn't order anything. Sorry.
Great food! When I mentioned I ate Gluten-Free, they immediately handed me a card that explained every ingredient they had and also told me they could put on new gloves because they were handling flour tortillas. You just have to ask, as they don't change gloves for every order. They have corn tortillas to choose from as well. I highly recommend this place and frequent here often!
Didn't ask staff about gluten, I had looked menu up online first. Great food, looks like limited but not impossible chance of cross contamination.
Eaten here many times and have never had an issue with contamination. All fillings are GF and they have corn tacos or bowl options.
One of my favorite GF places! Highly recommended and easy to navigate- pretty much the short list is the stuff NOT gluten free rather than most places which is the other way around.
These guys are awesome! We told them that we are gluten intolerant and one of the ladies changed her gloves, washed her hands, got clean spoons for everything we asked for, and even pulled out fresh cheese for my mom! We were very impressed and my highly sensitive stomach didn't bloat at all. Highly recommended!!
We went on Friday 4/5/2013. Husband newly diagnosed with Celiac disease. Have been trying to find a restaurant that takes care of their customers with special diets. This is the place!! They washed their hands changed their gloves and the spoons on the line for the ingredients he wanted in his bowl!! We all enjoyed our meal and he didn't suffer afterwards!! We will make this our new go to place.
Only "fast food" I would ever consider. Just stay away from the tortilla shells. Slight cross-contamination due to the spoons touching other customer tortillas, but we have never had a bad experience. High in calories, but very satisfying.
Great service and the food is always fresh!
While Chipotle doesn't have a dedicated GF menu, just about everything is safe. Obviously we can't have the flour tortillas, but I feel like I can have a great, satisfying meal by ordering a burrito bowl. I don't feel like I am being deprived or singled out here, and it's tasty!
Pretty much everything is gluten free, but there is some cross contamination. Ask the workers to change their gloves! Overall, a great choice. It's really tasty.
I let the first person on the line know I had a gluten allergy and she just looked at me. I politely asked her to change her gloves and I was surprised, she seemed quite annoyed with me. I've never had an issue with this before! Wish I didn't have to worry about cross contamination here.
The staff was great. They changed their gloves and utensils of all the condiments I chose and got a fresh batch of cheese. Loved the hard corn taco shells.
You can have everything but the flour tortillas! The staff were very knowledgeable - the food is delicious! They even offered to change their spoons without me asking! I'll definitely be back!
Pretty good for fast food, but not sure I trust them to not cross contaminate.
Accommodated our Gluten Free allergy
Stood and watched them cross contaminate just about everything in the place. One worker actually highly recommended I do not eat there because the cross contamination is so bad.
Love Chipotle! They wash their hands and change gloves. That same person makes my whole order. If I want lettuce, they will get it from an unopened bin so as not to grab any possible contaminated lettuce from the bin currently being used. I do also have a soy allergy and most of their stuff is made with a soy oil so I do eventually feel icky after eating there. If you are okay with soy then this place is great!
Chipotle has really great GF options! I always make sure I request the employees to change gloves and I avoid the cheese and lettuce since those are served from bins, as opposed to spoons or tongs. Never had an issue here and we come on a weekly basis!
Fresh and delicious. Yum.
Totally uneducated about how to serve gluten free.
As soon as I mentioned I was gluten free they all stopped and washed their hands, changed gloves, and swapped out the serving spoons! So awesome!!
I havent been to this location but i have been to several others. They are very good you just have to tell the what you want them to do or they'll pass your bowl down and the next person might not have change their gloves. They will do whatever you want. The only thing I do is I don't get the items that they pick up with there hands cause the are touching the wheat wraps and then I feel contaminating the lettuce or cheese. But I'll tell you following this practice I have had nothing but good experiences there. And it feels so good to be able to go grab a quick lunch with the guys from work with out feeling like an outcast.
staff not trained at this location on proper procedures when serving gluten-free customers; had reaction from meal that was supposed to be gluten-free.
The naked burrito bowl will not "just do". It is a delicious gluten free burrito alternative! And Chipotle has gourmet level ingredients, your taste buds have to be dead to not taste the perfection.
Pretty good about preparing gluten free. Once in awhile, you get someone new and they are confused. Overall, the 30 minute wait in line can be worth it.
Go there weekly.. I have never been sick from eating here. I get a bowl with chicken and all the fixings!! I can usually save half the bowl for later bc it's so much food!!
We have been here 4 times and 3 of the visits they were out of corn tortillas to make a cheese quesadilla for my 4 year old who has Celiac. The one time they did have corn tortillas, the girl put his on top of a flour tortilla. When I told her they couldn't touch, she got aggravated and threw it in the trash. This place could be a great option for gluten free food it they would just keep it in stock & educate their staff.
Chipotle is one of my favorite spots to eat. The staff are very knowledgeable and have procedures in place that they use when you tell them you are gluten free. Plus, the food - nearly every single thing is GF other than the flour tortillas (but there are corn you can use instead) - is delicious!
Love it! So excited to have "discovered" Chipotle Grill. In addition to a gluten allergy, I also have a casein allergy. There are only 3 items on Chipotle's menu that I can not have - Flour tortillas, cheese and sour cream. All very easy to avoid. The food is fresh and very good. It is also very healthy - natural, antibiotic-free meats, choice of white or brown rice. I just found out I was allergic to gluten 8 days ago and I have already eaten at Chipotle twice!
Delicious soft corn tacos !!!!!
Not for the super sensitive. No matter which location, even when we ask them to change gloves, super sensitive Celiac hubby always reacts. Always. I think it might just be from them touching the flour tortillas with the serving utensils while making burritos & then sticking those utensils back into the beans, rice, etc. Also, for those who are soy sensitive the last I checked they use soy oil on EVERYTHING. And they won't confirm if their corn or soy is non-GMO. We don't eat here anymore.
Best choice for healthy, organic, yummy, GF fast food! A favorite of mine. Eat here at least once a week.
Dirty, unpleasant, and unimaginative foods; will never go back.
Although most of the ingredients on the menu are gluten free (besides the burritos) just be aware that there could be cross contamination. The staff will gladly wipe the areas off for you. Other than that, the food is awesome.
Great food & service! I was very impressed how cautious they were preparing my gf food!
If you need fast food, this particular Chipotle location has a good manager with careful staff who do their very best to avoid cross contamination. Had the Chicken tacos. They were fresh and tasty.
Smaller portions than other chipotle locations, meat was cold, staff was rude and uncaring.
I love chipotle. Gluten free accomodations can be easily made with their burrito bowls which are made with cilantro lime rice, salsa, lettuce, chicken or beef (optional), and guacomole (even though it is a little bit of extra money, however if you order vegetarian you can get it for free). Chipotle is fast food but they are famous for their efforts to get humanely raised meat and fresh vegetables free of GMO's. This isnt a good place for celiacs because they are not careful enough with cross contamination, but if you just have a gluten allergy, this is the place to go!
No problems after several visits.
So great to be able to know the one thing to avoid walking in...
we liked the servers, atmosphere, food and reasonably priced.
not a single person working when I are there today understood GF food prep. never heard of it they said. had to convince the prep person to change gloves.
Told employee that I had gluten allergy when I ordered corn tortilla tacos. Asked them to use separate gloves. I ended up getting wheat tortillas! I had to take a whole bottle of children's Benadryl. Missed 3 days of work Chipotle uses same tortilla press for wheat and corn in every location. They use same gloves and dip these gloves into most of the ingredients. No chipotle is safe for a Celiac. None. Don't risk it
they try very hard to do as much free range and organic as possible. Very good.
The people at this location have no idea what to do to not contaminate if you're a celiac. I can only get the bowl bc they refuse to handle corn tacos differently.
We have eaten here 4 times since our 3 weeks visiting Rancho Mirage. Great food. Never have a reaction from GF & DF issues. Always delicious and consistently high quality food.
always fresh, great taste, build your own meal. everything is gf besides the wraps. great variety.
I eat here all the time. If you ask they will change their gloves for you and then have that person make your food.
Server was not very knowledgeable about cross-contamination, so asked her manager without me suggesting it. Manager was VERY aware of CC issues and walked employee through the process while explaining WHY these precautions are necessary! It was fantastic, in addition to having generous portions! Will definitely go back!!
Great option for a quick lunch or dinner. Unlike other Mexican places, chips are GF also. I eat there regularly and have never had a Celiac issue. Unlike
The employees here are very knowledgeable and immediately change gloves and wash hands when you ask for a gf order. Everything on their menu is gf (except flour tortillas) so there are plenty of options.
Always great fresh gf food. Previously I would of said five stars- New staff is a big down grade in the service and manners department. Staff occasionally can be stubborn about changing gloves when handling non gf food. Restaurant is very clean though. Miss the old crew.
I eat here often and have never had a problem. I always get a bowl and it's always delicious.
i love these places. MOST of the time the staff will comply with my request for them to put on clean gloves without complaint.. i love the burrito bowl, too, but have found that i must pass on them adding anything that they use their hands to place. Cheese and Lettuce, primarily. i have written asking for tongs so those items arent contaminated, but have yet to receive a response
Delicious Gluten free Mexican food. The guacamole is divine!
really good tacos and cheaper than expected. kind of confusing if youve never been there before. everything is gf unless you order wheat tacos.
Since my diagnosis with celiac's, it's been a pain to go out for a quick lunch with my husband, who is not GF. Chipotle is a great option for us; he can get his giant burrito and I just order the burrito bowl. I do miss the tortillas, but the bowls are tasty and I've never had a reaction after eating at any chipotle location.
I've eaten at this location many times & I've never gotten sick (I'm a celiac). They will happily wash hands & put on fresh gloves to avoid allergy cross-contamination!
If you're truly gluten free and can't handle cross contamination (I have celiac's), DO NOT go to Chipotle! They heat up the corn tortillas in the same warmer as the flour tortillas and don't keep ingredients or utensils separate, so it's a CC fest. Avoid.
I often get a rice bowl here. cheap, tasty and g free!
Good casual food and very accommodating for gluten free:) asked them to change gloves and they were very considerate;)
Staffpersons at the Norman, OK location are super-friendly and spring immediately into action as soon as I identify myself as gluten-free. They change gloves, wash hands, and even bring out a new pot of lettuce since they've dug around in the old one w/glutened fingers. Thanks, folks!
All is gluten free except the flour tortillas. When we get corn soft tacos, we ask them to change gloves and wipe down the tortilla warmer. They are always happy to accommodate us.
All is gluten free except the flour tortillas. When we get corn soft tacos, we ask them to change gloves and wipe down the tortilla warmer. They are always happy to accommodate us.
Always had great experiences at this location.
Commerce city & stapleton locations have same owner with same great service, smiling faces, & safe choices. I have always ordered "like normal people" with celiac safe result 2-4 times a week between locations for 2 years diagnosed. Only one negative reaction in that time to carne asada I chalked up to beef base. This is my busy schedule fall back "safe food", corn tacos just improve experience not being "the wierd picky girl".
Most Chipotle's are great, but the staff at this location, including the manager, have no experience and were not interested in serving anyone with gluten sensitivities. If you have Celiac or are sensitive to cross contamination, this isn't a safe place to eat.
FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! Was very impressed that as soon as we told them we needed gluten free, staff members changed their gloves. Have gone back numerous times and all staff respond the same way... fresh gloves! Was surprised that such a young staff were so GF knowledgeable and eager to help. And did I mention the food is FANTASTIC!!!
I love this place and in so happy they finally put one on the "south side"
The staff at this location gave me a hard time about my gf needs. At other locations, I say gluten freed and before I can ask them to change their gloves, they already have. And at other locations, that same person (different person every time I go) would take me all the way down the line so that no one else touched my food. At this location, however, I had to ask three times to get a change of gloves. And when I asked her to take me down the line (which is easier for them than every body changing their gloves), she didn't understand. Then someone I assumed was a manager yelled at me for asking someone to do that, even tho literally everybody at every other location has offered to do it for me. The food itself was delicious as usual. I just wish the staff here were more accommodating.
I wouldn't recommend going here if you need to avoid cross contamination. If you just don't eat gluten by choice, you're probably fine.
My absolute favorite restaurant for quick GF food. The only non-GF item is the burrito, but the bowls are completely safe. I eat here multiple times a week; I highly recommend it.
They are so helpful there, tell them you are gluten free, they are very happy to change gloves, wash their hands, change spoons for everything! since I have celiac and am highly sensitive to gluten, it's very awesome that I can actually eat out without getting sick for the next week. I wish I could give them 10 out of 5 stars. :)
I love chipotle with all my heart but I wish they didn't touch the cheese with their gluten covered gloves hands. I asked them to change their gloves once but it doesn't really matter. The cheese is already contaminated. I wrote to the company and they suggested I ask for a fresh pan of cheese from the back. That sounds too demanding so I just cross my fingers everytime that I don't get glutened.
Food was cold, staff was to busy although i was the only customer. but glad to have something while on vacation
I told the server I was gluten intolerant and she changed her gloves, wiped down the counter, and made sure no one else touched my food. And it was a very, busy time. I was very impressed. Oh and the food was yummy too!
Love chipotle! Good clean workstations keep the cross contamination down.
the food is inherently gluten free (except the flour tortillas). they seem to know what gluten is which is more than I can say for other places, but I seem to get sick every time. they change gloves, and utensils, but they spread ingredients on the flour tortillas and then put them back in the food tubs which contaminates the Gluten free options. avoid chipotle if you are very sensitive to cross contamination. I may try asking for all new ingredients if I get the nerve to go back.
One of my favorite places to get gluten-free food!
Love this place! Almost everything is gluten free, the burrito bowls being my favorite. Inexpensive, filling and delicious!
Their tortillas have flour but everything else is gluten free. Many celiacs have concerns about cross contamination here, but I personally have not had any issues as of this review. Great "fast food" option for us.
Burrito bowls are great! Staff have always been nice if I ask them to put on new gloves. Good food.
Everything is gluten free except their tortillas.
Great food. The gal that made my bowl changed her gloves, washed her hands, used fresh utensils serving from the opposite end of containers and then got out fresh lettuce and cheese for me. I had a similar experience in a California location. I'm a fan and it seems like the staff had some decent training.
Always good!! This is one of the best GF options around. I always get the burrito bowl now.
Great food. Great service. Never any issue.
Love love love this place. Food is always good and never get sick or have symptoms. Will start looking for this chain when I travel for my son's sports.
My top "fast food" option in MKE. (or anywhere for that matter) Everything is GF except for the flour tortillas/shells. So grab a rice bowl, they even have brown rice now, and top it to the max with all the good toppings. Don't forget the chips and an Izze to drink!
Great food. Food preparers are trained. Some are better trained than others. It looks like there's a possibility of cross contamination, but I've never had any bad reaction.
Never have gotten sick. Love chipotle!
Never have gotten sick. Good portions. Great service. Yummy gaucamole!
As far as being Gluten Free, I have to rate the loc across from Sunrise Mall an "F-" at best. Their food is okay - according to my hubby, but I was unable to eat there due to cross contamination issues. Clearly, they have no clue, and assume that it is okay to handle wheat flour tortillas, and then plunge their glutened gloves into the lettuce and cheese bins. They smear rice and beans on the gluten tortillas and plop the spoons back into the rice and bean containers, without a 2nd thought. They do have foods that are GF, but celiacs, and gluten sensitives - BEWARE! The manager laughed and said "yeah, I guess we should be more careful." Sad, that they aren't safe.
Excellent gluten free mexican food, ask for the rice bowl.
Always great for GF food, I usually get a burrito bowl or corn shelled tacos. Chips and guac are the best!
Be sure to ask the server to change their gloves before they make your order.
Fresh food and nice selection of choices for meals. Tacos are great choice as are the bowls.
Read disclaimers- most places can't guarantee no cross contamination. IDK about Chipotle. Otherwise it's great
Just explain you have a gluten allergy and ask them to change their gloves. They always gladly do. Get a rice bowl because the only thing with gluten are the burritos themselves though I also steer clear of the lettuce since they use their hands for that. I also have a dairy allergy so I stay away from the sour cream and cheese. Sometimes when it is busy, a stray piece of cheese gets in the guacamole but I try to go when it's less busy anyway.
Great restaurant and most of it is GF. Tell the preparer that you need GF and they will wash their hands, change their gloves, and follow you meal so that it will not be contaminated.
I asked for gluten free menu and it took them 10 minutes to find an old rumpled copy. I picked everything I ate from the GF menu but it must've gotten contaminated because I immediately got sick. I do not feel safe eating at any Chipotle.
This is not for you if you are super sensitive, the cross contamination is absolutely atrocious. They do not even try to keep things separate there is wheat tortilla bits in your salad and it is a risk.
LOVE chipotle...love the brown rice!
Great business model and great food. They are super efficient, and although I am not celiac, so perhaps not as discerning, they're food handling practices seem excellent. The one situation I could see concern is xcontamination from using the same spoon on all varieties and I suppose I could see that if someone touched a flour tortilla while placing meat in the burrito for example and then putting te spoon back in the meat, that might raise some concern. At any rate, for those with milder sensitivities it seems ok.
Went there yesterday. Told them I had wheat allergy and the person said right away, let me change my gloves. She washed her hands changed her gloves and made my burrito bowl herself, all the way down the line. It was after 5 pm and the line went out door. They gave me an allergen card with list of products and all are gf except flour tortilla. I am new to gf eating and appreciate the fast and easy way to find food. Thank you Chipotle ! I will be back!
BEST GF fast food there is. Usually, but not always, a request for "gluten-free" results in a quick glove change, I don't request spoon changes and counter cleaning - always order the burrito bowl so nothing touches the counter anyway. You can even go dairy-free, corn-free, gluten-free, meat-free, and STILL get a healthy, generous serving of flavorful yummy. Guac is free for veggie bowls, and they serve enough in the bowl for two meals!! I am SO grateful Chipotle's exists!
I did not have a good experience It was my fault it was close to closing and I was on the road ran out of gf snack and was starving with low blood sugar witch make me bleepie. But when I went in and said to the girl I had a gluten intolerance and allergies. I wonted corn tortillas that i eat at all chipotles and never gotten sick and if she could change her gloves before sh touched them. She looked at me like she did not know what she was talking about as she stuck her gluten full glove right into the corn tortillas and said theses. I said never mind I can not have them now that you touched them. She said I do not now what you mean i can change my gloves. I sad that I had a bet of a melt down with teary eyes said no its OK I can not have them now that you touched them all with those gloves. I would have ordered a bowl but when the manager cam out she said are we gluten free She said NO!!! sharply so I waked out m husband stayed behind and was told there was no way the can serve me a gluten free meal. Did they change supplies ??? The website did not say. But I have never had this happen to me at any other location. I did not feel safe maybe it was new employees. then they need to train them. It sucks being GF sometime running out of food and going someplace you are normally safe and told we can not feed you. I did not meen to cry but I was Starving and my blood sugar was really low and I need food fast. 10 minuts down the road was an In and out. They fed me safty.
Good food and they're careful.
Too much cross contamination for me. I ate a chicken rice bowl here twice and was glutened twice.
Spicy but awesome!!
The best of gluten free? how about the best of anything you could possibly put in your mouth! When someone ask me what my favorite food is, I say chipotle. I have loved this place for years and just now found out it is gluten free! apparently so is most sushi if you are careful with the ingredients. My two favorite foods I don't have to give up. I'm... I'm... so happy. :') If you haven't eaten here... you are missing out on life. Chipotle is just amazing. Simply amazing!
I'm a regular here and love the burrito bowls. If you are very sensitive, make it clear that you have a gluten allergy and ask them to change their gloves. This can be difficult during busy hours, especially since English isn't always a first language of the servers.
The burrito bowl is amazing I've eaton there 5 times and have not gotten sick once.
I ate a simple salad with some vegetables on it and vinegar and oil dressing and was sick for two days! So not one of my favorite places and definitely won't go back.
Current favorite for a healthy lunch. I get a bowl free of everything (gluten, dairy, corn) and it is still so tasty.
I have had celiac's for over three years and found this place to be GREAT! Best glutten free Mexican and sooo many choices.
Had a wonderful meal, got the brown rice with black beans, the pulled pork, mild salsa, and guac on the side since they give you so much I'd rather control the amount I use. It was very fresh and filling too!!
Not all of the meat is GF. Check the website.
Always good! And they are super nice when i ask them to change their gloves!
Great place! A little pricy but if you share it's perfect. It's yummy and the rice is awesome. Great customer service
As I've said before, I'd eat here everyday for the rest of my life. Never dissapoints me
Best fast food experience ever! Notified the staff we were gf free and they immediately discarded their gloves, washed their hands, and then put on new gloves. They used separate food containers and utensils to reduce cross contamination. Great experience and for once I didn't have to explain everything, they just got it!
This is one of my favorite chains. Their rice is amazing and their chips are delightfully "limey.". My go to order is the crunchy tacos with rice, chicken, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. So good! Their corn salsa is very odd but good
All you have to do is say "gluten free" and the wonderful servers change gloves and spoons It was during the busy lunch rush when I went and I was so pleased by the fabulous response to my needs.
Everything except there flour tortillas is gluten free according to the menu. I had the burrito bowl and although everything tasted great I did get a little sick later in the day (celiac symptoms). Could have been unrelated but I am pretty careful about what I eat.
THIS IS THE BEST CHIPOTLE AROUND!! I have been to several locations in the area, as well as while traveling, and frequently get blank stares when I say I can't have gluten and ask them to change gloves, etc. This location all the staff I have encountered are so accommodating and knowledgable about how to prevent cross-contamination. I simply mention I can't have gluten, the utensils get changed, counters wiped down, hands washed, gloves changed, even during a lunch rush! No explanation needed. They are so friendly about it, too. Super impressive and they have a VERY loyal customer now!
Not one person out front knew if their food was gluten free. They had to go get a manager to ask. They seemed very "put out" by me asking. Then she had to wash her hands and change her gloves and such. Very disrespectful employees. The food was very bland. I got the bowl with lots of stuff in it and chips to dip eat it with. I will not be going back.
Corn tortilla or hard shells are awesome. Highly recommend.
I find Chipotle a to be a mixed bag. in theory it's gluten free besides the tortillas. but I find myself getting some sickness after I eat there. I think it's probably cross contamination from the tortillas or something else in the condiment bins. there is no control to keep the flour from the tortillas off of the other condiments.
What's not to love here?! Totally worry-free GF eating because almost everything offered is GF! Been a long-time fan even before needing to find GF. Food is always hot, fresh, healthy and delicious. If you've passed by this place thinking its just another Mexican fast-food joint, do yourself a favor and give it a try. I've never had a bad meal here, and that's really saying something about a fast-food-type restaurant!
Love this place - fast, easy and delicious! I don't even need to think about it...that doesn't happen a lot of places!
Very good at understanding cross-contamination issue - have always had safe meals from this Chipotle.
Gluten free menu on-line
Good for gf on the go!
Our order taker didn't know if they had corn tortillas except for taco shells, another worker had to tell her...after that everything was fine, we were able to find gluten free options that satisfied. I thought they could have used more choices in their dishes, but everything was tasty and not expensive.
Burrito bowls are awesome! I can't finish it, bring your appetite
Easy option. I always choose the rice bowl. Ask them to use new gloves so they don't contaminate.
Chipotle is a quick fix that never fails :)
Loved the burrito bowl!
Tastey! Never had a problem with gluten contamination there! Its fresh and cheap! :-)
i like chipotle a lot and their burrito bowls and hard tacos are gf... but beware cross contamination from the lettuce and cheese which they handle with gloves that also touch flour tortillas.
Just ask them to change their gloves.
Chipotle is always a reliable place to get good GF food (both veg and carne)! This location has been a little skimpy with the quantity and there were always a couple stale-taking chips in a bag, but the last couple times have been fine. Maybe they fixed the problem.
As always, Chipotle wins. Chicken, carnitas, and barbacoa burrito bowls are my go to.
Easy to go gluten free without holding up the line. Doggone tortillas anyway...
Perfect. I love their gluten free food which is most of their menu.
Love this place! Everything is awesome here! Fresh and healthy for fast food. The one on Nees & Blackstone is closest to me, I'm always in there. Love their chicken bowl w/brown rice, fajita veggies, black beans & all 4 salsas, sour cream, cheese & sometimes guacamole. Yummy!
Love their food most items are GF
We love this place. The employees will put on new glovesa to serve the gluten free food. Chiptole does have a menu to see what is gluten free and what is not. My husband is very sensitive to gluten (Celiac Disea) and has never gotten sick after eating at Chipotle. Their food is fresh and affordable. I highly recommend eating here.
I can pretty much eat anything here. It's nice to g somewhere with tacos and chips I can eat!
I have eaten here 3 or 4 times. Once got super sick- must have been cross contamination. Not all staff understood cross contamination. Otherwise food tastes good, I'm just nervous to go there now
This should be an easy restaurant to eat, but the staff doesn't speak or understand English very well and although the first person may change their gloves, the rest of line doesn't and they have all handled flour tortillas. The only Chipotle that "got it" was in Virginia Beach, VA.
Very accommodating to ensure no cross contamination!
It's yummy, quick, and affordable! The staff is AMAZINGLY friendly!
It's yummy, filling, quick, and affordable!
Be really careful about cross contamination. Everything is pretty much gluten free, however since they all touch flour tortillas anything they touch can become contaminated. I would recommend skipping peak hours when they have a long line so that you can have them go through the whole gf procedure. Changing gloves, swapping spoons, and grabbing clean lettuce and cheese. I can eat here without any problems, but I really have to be proactive.
Chipotle is one of the best fast-food chains when it comes to GF dining. It would be nice if they could make/order large corn tortillas so GF burritos/quesadillas.
The entire menu, other than the flour tortillas, is GF. My wife said she needed GF and not only did the first gentleman behind the counter change his gloves, but he also told the others down the chain to do the same. Food is superb and it's wonderful to have all the options on the menu available. Recommend going at off-peak hours to avoid holding up a long line.
Excellent precautions with gluten. No cross contamination. Really cared about my food.
When I asked about gluten-free, the manager herself took care of me, and she really did take exceptional care. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning. Very delicious and I expensive food, and it tasted very fresh, like I had made it myself.
Awesome GF place to eat. Clean meat and fresh healthy choices! Love chipotle!
Good food. Good prices. Easy to order gluten free.
Choose the crispy tacos, (you get 3). Tried 3 different meats. Had the white rice and the spicer rice. Corn salsa in there as well. DELICIOUS. 20 minutes later and no tummy ache! Very good. Thank you for the GF food guys! Life saver.
Love this restaurant! They switch their gloves when you say you are gluten free, and then you can eat anything other than the flour tortillas! So nice to be able to choose just about anything from the menu! Plus the food is really good!
Great gluten free options like the burrito bowl !
I love Chipotle with all of my heart.
great food and service. its like a Mexican version of subway
If i could i would eat here every day for the rest of my life.
Good for semi fast food. My teen son with celiac loves the burrito bowls.
Great food should be fairly easy to serve gluten free food except the employees are clueless and they have serious cross contamination issues.
The only thing that has gluten is the flour tortilla. Enjoy the awesome food
Great gluten free, vegetarian & humanely raised animal options.
Really helpful knowing what was gluten free and what wasn't! Offered to change gloves and everything!! Super super helpful
Everything is gluten free except the flour tortilla.
When I told them my son had Celiac and couldn't have any gluten they were awesome. 2 of the line workers stopped, removed their gloves, scrubbed their hands and forearms, put new gloves on and proceeded to make my sons order. Used tin foil to wrap the corn tortillas in to heat up, nothing ever touched the counter or anything where cross contamination could happen. They truly were great about it. I only gave it a 4 star though cause one girl at the register was not very happy about the hold up it caused. But as far as the precautions they get 5 stars.
Good as always
Yummy as usual! Always hits the spot- I just wish we had a Chipotle in Alaska!
Everything on their line is gluten free other than the tortillas.
Bald Hill Road, Warwick, RI 02886 Great food! and the staff is well trained. As soon as I said allergy they cleaned the work surfaces, changed their gloves and gave me a card with their menu showing any allergens they contained. Everything there is gluten free except the flour tortillas.
which white rice was soyfree
Good tacos and bowl. Make sure to ask the person making your order change to clean gloves and ask that the same person make your order from start to finish, to help prevent cross contamination.
Everything on their menu is gf except the tortilla shells. Love it!! One of my favorite Mexican restaurants.
Love it. Never disappointed.
This place is legendary. But more specifically, they're gf burritos are. It's the burrito in a bowl, or burrito bowl, as it says on the menu. Chipotle is the first to have a burrito that is gluten free, but just as big as everyone elses THANK YOU CHIPOTLE!!!!!!!
great food! I love chipotleeeee
Chipotle employees are trained well in serving gf food. Needed something quick when dinner at our convention turned out to be pasta and garlic bread.
Made me very sick :-(
The staff and food at this restaurant rocks! If you tell them you have a food allergy they put on new gloves and swap out all of the serving utensils. The are very well trained and gracious. And the food is incredible!
Not sure how this can be gf. Cross contamination is a major issue due to contaminated gloves and spoons. Would only be safe if they had opened new bins of everything for you. Sadly, I no longer eat here, too risky.
Chipotle can be a great place to eat GF, but you have to be super careful. Educate your server as I have come across a lot of servers that don't know the procedure for GF service. Make sure to ask for new spoons and fresh containers of cheese and lettuce. Once you do those things, you get a yummy meal that won't make you sick! Woot!
One of the first chains we are aware of to haves gf menu, the staff is knowledgable and willing to assist we have always had successwith gf and good food
terrible- went in yesterday & no one on staff knew the word gluten- scary!
They have gone above and beyond every time I eat there to not only change out serving spoons, but making sure hands are carefully rewashed and areas are re-cleaned. Great job guys! Thank you for making my health a priority so I can continue to enjoy eating here!
Not any different than any other chipotle by menu but as the only place I can eat out in my own neighborhood the staff has gone above and beyond to be helpful to me to avoid cross-contamination.
Great healthy choice, esp., being a otr driver with my boyfriend. We are both very health conscious, and with, my recent GF/celiac disease and dairy allergy.... we really enjoy the food, flavors etc. I did, however, get sick but thinking it was either the salsa (white vinegar) or three guacamole?
Easy to order gluten free. My favorite go to spot.
Excellent, only the tortillas were not gluten-free. My order taker removed their gloves, washed their hands and then put on new gloves and followed my order all the way through to the end.
Chipotle uses Tabasco sauce (white vinegar) in most of their salsas & beans, and if soy-sensitive, all griddled foods are cooked in soy oil. Can be a food allergy minefield.
This place is the perfect date night restaurant. They are knowledgeable about gf and can adapt many of their dishes.
awesome food! my 5 year old girl has celiacs and she can eat it and loves it!
You can eat almost everything! Good taste and price.
Always great, local and healthy. Highly recommend.
Several gf options
They will change their gloves if you wish
Excellent food- great variety. My two big complaints are it's a little on the pricey side and serving size is VERY inconsistent.
Best food with no gluten!
My favorite place! Don't order any thing with a flour tortilla and if you order soft tacos don't let them warm them up unless they use foil. Everything else in there is GF.
many, many options!!
Never disappointed! Love this place and my burrito bowls!
never had a problem gluten free is very good all of it except for flour tortillas we are vegetarin there is a lot of options for that. never got sick from schamberg location they care were all their food comes from very sustainable company they use local food what is all possible
Good GF options - especially burrito bowl. Website says everything is GF except for the flour soft shell tacos or burritos.
they are great about changing their gloves & washing their hands! I love going to this chipotle!!!
Everything I would want is gluten free, yay! Love Chipotle!
This location has severe cross contamination issues. Unfortunately I can no longer eat at chipotle. Severely I'll twice! I didn't learn the first time. If the company would use tongs for each topping the amount of cross contamination would not be so bad.
My new favorite! Always a great GF meal!
The staff is always happy to wash their hands and change gloves if you tell them you have an allergy. :-)
Best Chipotle I have dealt with. They not only changed gloves but also used different serving utensils. They understood cc. Definitely recommend this location.
I walked in and asked the first person if he would change his gloves and explained why. He seemed to understand what I was talking about and was very nice about it. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl, and got sick. I don't think it is the lack of understanding and they are very accommodating, but possibly a little careless with cross contamination tonight :/. Needless to say my first experience here was a disappointing one.
The only thing you need to avoid if the burrito wrap. Get a ckn bowl and it's the best
Although I had to request corn tortillas, it took the staff a while to get them from the back and they were poor quality, I still appreciate that they offer the option. Perhaps a better way to go is the salad basket option with no tortillas at all.
employees didn't speak enough English to understand flour allergy. Not worth taking a chance.
They really take gluten-free diets seriously. Everything is gluten-free except the flour tortillas of course. When you tell them you need gluten-free they wash their hands and put on new gloves. Then they'll use clean spoons for all the stuff you want and take out a new untouched cheese and lettuce if you want either. My girl friend and I go here at least three times a week just because we know it will be gluten-free and delicious. Best gf-friendly place at Purdue!!!
These guys are awesome! VERY gluten free friendly!
Awesome yummy food and almost everything is Gluten free!!
Best gluten free fast food Ever!
Staff very conscientious of gluten intolerance and celiac. They take extra care in preparing your order and the food is Amazing!
So good! Chips and salsa are amazing. Chile replleno is phenomenal!
Worker was AMAZING. She immediately changed gloves without me asking her to and she pulled out separate bins of things like lettuce so there was absolutely no contamination. The food is delicious and the service is incredibly considerate!
Great place to eat and they now have brown rice! In the description for Chipotle (on this program), it reads that everything is gluten free with the exception of the wraps. I talked to a rep from Chipotle a while back and he told me that the hot salsa has gluten as well. So, unless something had changed, then I would stay clear of the hot salsa.
Love this place especially since they have brown rice
I was SO impressed! My daughter-in-law has celiacs and is extreemly sensitive to any gluten. All we said was that we needed it gluten free, and, wow! They went into action immediately. Changed gloves, got new serving utensils, I don't remember all that they did,but they knew what they were doing, and we were all very grateful, and everyone got to enjoy a great meal with no pain involved after.
Was very willing to talk to me about what was gluten free. Service people were very nice! Food a little to spicy for my taste but good.
Was very willing to talk to me about what was gluten free. Service people were very nice! Food a little to spicy for my taste but good. Everything
burrito bowl is GF, delicious!
Love this place! Everything is gf except the flour tortilla.
excellent. all gluten free except flour tortillas. They are happy to change gloves if you ask too!
good place to eat gf. soft and hard tacos are gluten free as well as the burito bowl. the staff always changes their gloves and changes the utensils for the food. they are always happy to do gluten free even when the line is long. everything on the menu is gluten free except the flour wraps for buritos.
I would consider this fast food, but I was a bit surprised by the quality of the food. The chicken was moist and not dry and over cooked as well as the rice. The burrito bowl comes with cilantro-lime rice that was well cooked and with good flavor. The chips were not seasoned to my liking and the hot salsa was not hot enough, but these are minor oversights.
Didn't feel they had a lot to offer...totally prefer qdoba! They have more options and great quaso!
This one is always so busy and it's hard to get a seat but is good. There's also one inside Fashion Show Mall that was one of the best Chipotles I've ever been to. And they have plenty of seating and a lot less busy since its back in the mall a ways. Next to Johnny Rockets and CPK
My favorite to go place
Always get the burrito bowl more food and easy to grab on the go.
Very accommodating when I asked: fresh ingredients, good food
I eat there all the time and have never gotten sick. Just avoid the flour tortillas.
everything is very salty
Awesome service. Very friendly!!
great fast option and almost every location is aware of gluten sensitivities and will automatically wash hands and change there gloves before preparing your food.
Best fast food restaurant to eat at for GF!
My fave place to eat GF! Love the chicken bowl!
There is a high probability of cross contamination with the flour tortillas due to spoons and gloves double dipping. I always ask the server to use new gloves and utensils and have not had an issue but my tolerance level may be different than others. Otherwise, one of my most favorite places around. The food is fantastic and fresh!!
Very flavorful!!! Love their chicken tacos!
Exceptional! Great vegan gf food.
built into their service
Counter clerk not knowledgeable, HOWEVER - the cook made her way to the front and handed me a card with all of the gluten free items (which was pretty much everything but the tortillas). I would eat at Chipotle again, being gluten free.
Easy, seems safe enough. For those with sensitivities to cross contamination you can ask the staff to change gloves before making yours.
Salad or Bowl. Delicious & fresh!
Good food, quick and easy. no issues
Burrito bowl and chips FTW!
Never been contaminated. Staff always excellent at washing hands, changing gloves, regular customer with two celiacs in our family one who is extremely sensitive. Excellent job Chipotle!
One of the best places to eat GF and actually feel full! I recommend a steak bowl with avocados.
I <3 chipotle burrito bowls. Always fresh!
In theory, there are some GF items here, but all the utensils and food prep have flour tortilla crumbs everywhere. This is more of a "no gluten added" place-- not gluten free.
Get a burrito bowl, delicious!
Nice open faced burrito.
burrito bowl is very good!
This is a great location. Let them know you need GF and they will wash hands, change gloves, new spoons, etc.
What would our family do without this place! Love the options!
The staff is not well-trained. I confirmed my order would be GF and then they proceeded to place my corn tortillas on the same warmer as the flour tortillas they just finished with.
has gluten free food, however, didn't change rubber gloves or swap out tongs in food like other chipotle locations do, AND when told we were gluten free asked if we wanted soft or hard taco shells. the soft shells are flour. poor gluten free training at this location.
very yummy and gluten free!
The people at this Chipotle are very helpful. When they see me walk in the door they start changing their gloves. The food is good and I've never had a problem. But I do avoid the items they use gloved hands to serve, ie: cheese and lettuce.
excellent. manager gave personal attention. repeat visits weekly. no reactions. yummy.
When I asked what their gluten-free options were, the kid behind the counter asked me what gluten was. I explained and he told me they had nothing I could eat. I went into Penn Station and had a salad instead.
Great selection of options. Online menu makes it clear what you can have.
love the burrito bowls!
Fast service. BIG burritos. Cross contamination. little pricey. No military discount.
very fresh and great gluten free for me and the kids!
Food is super tasty! I love ordering the rice bowl and being able to choose from all meats and sides. Definitely get your fill without feeling left out! Chips and guac are the best!!
Not for the extremely gluten intolerant. I went into one in Sacramento and asked the kid behind the counter about gluten free food and he had never heard of gluten before...they obvious don't have a company wide policy for dealing with food allergies. If you are not very sensitive you would probably be okay, but not for me.
Practically everything is gluten free!
Most gluten friendly location I've found in Orlando. I always feel safe eating here!
Good food. If you have a gluten allergy make sure you explain it to them and ask them to change their gloves. You need to be very diligent in watching how they prepare your food. While that may seem like a hassle it's a better option than getting sick. :-)
Wife has been eating there for 2 years now with no problems.
I've never had a problem with cross contamination there. In fact, as soon as I tell them that mine needs to be gluten free, only one person handles my food. That person takes their gloves off, washes their hands, puts on new gloves and goes down the line filling my order themselves. I've been VERY impressed!
the food is great but the cross contamination is awful!! I am always sick from their food. Should not be reccommended as a gf place to eat, unless you want to be sick.
