It's shocking people expect fast food workers to know what gluten is. Its your job as a celiac to tell them what you need to have or not have in your food. Look up online gf menus ahead of time so you know what to order. If you ate a wheat tortilla, you are just ignorant. No one has gf soft tortillas. These uneducated workers dont know what celiac is, only 1% of the population is diagnosed with it. All that being said, we look ahead of time, you get there and order a bowl (NO tortilla), and my son does not get sick. The low stars is only because the food is pretty bad, gf or not.
Yay for the Westview Chipotle in Frederick! I told the woman behind the counter that I have Celiac's and she immediately changed her gloves and personally handled my order thru the entire serving line.
I should have waited a few hours before giving my review. Even though the woman who served me did her best, there was still cross contamination. A couple hours later I had bloating and was running for a bathroom. Sorry but Chipotle is not Celiac Friendly.
No
I told them to make it gluten free and told them what that meant. A couple hours later I threw up because it was s wheat tortilla. I do not recommend this place and not gluten free friendly.
No
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
I have never had a problem at other chipotles in the past but the people here had no idea what was going on. I told the girl I was gluten free and she just stared at me then asked if I wanted a flour tortilla....
Always good, lots of choices. Burrito bowl is a favorite.
I appreciate their variety of gluten free options. My daughter complains about the beans being spicy but she’s just a picky eater overall. She does enjoy the rice, queso, chicken, chips, etc. I like that I can get her a full kids meal here.

A manger is celiac and makes an effort however there is a lot of cross contamination and any type of veggie will have gluten contamination because the quesadillas are cut on the same cutting boards all veggies are cut on with minimal sanitizing and no discretion of which one is veggies only

Yikes. I've seen some Chipotle's that are fairly safe but today was not it. The server knew what cross contamination was, and she changed gloves, washed her hands, wiped down the counter, but while she was wiping everything down crumbs were falling back into the bins, and I was watching them serve before hand and the ladles would brush right against the tortillas before going back into the containers. It was probably right after the rush too. Didn't even bother ordering because I knew I'd be sick.
