The staff however didn't give me what I asked for so I was overcharged and then they also forgot my salsa, but I'm hoping it was just an "off day" due to who was working... as I said food was delicious though.

This particular location is one of two that I have had a problem with from the Chipotle chain. The staff when asked to handle gluten free bowls they did not know they needed to follow the cleanliness protocol of throw away the gloves, wash hands, and apply new gloves. Also when adding the garnishments of cheese and lettuce which is handled by hand and should have had its own dedicated location. But instead they had touched the generalized handled ingredients without use of a dedicated section to said garnishments. Will be filing a complaint for this particular location as the staff did not understand the gluten free and cleanliness protocol and because of it became sick.

Great gluten free options! Staff is willing to change their gloves and utensils upon request. Everything is gluten free except for the flour tortillas and the soft corn tortillas are warmed on the same warmer so avoid those or ask for them not to be warmed. Hard taco shells are safe as are the bowls. All salsas, meats and beans are gluten free.

The only thing I do is I don't get the items that they pick up with there hands cause the are touching the wheat wraps and then I feel contaminating the lettuce or cheese. But I'll tell you following this practice I have had nothing but good experiences there. And it feels so good to be able to go grab a quick lunch with the guys from work with out feeling like an outcast.

There are only 3 items on Chipotle's menu that I can not have - Flour tortillas, cheese and sour cream. All very easy to avoid. The food is fresh and very good. It is also very healthy - natural, antibiotic-free meats, choice of white or brown rice. I just found out I was allergic to gluten 8 days ago and I have already eaten at Chipotle twice!

I love chipotle. Gluten free accomodations can be easily made with their burrito bowls which are made with cilantro lime rice, salsa, lettuce, chicken or beef (optional), and guacomole (even though it is a little bit of extra money, however if you order vegetarian you can get it for free). Chipotle is fast food but they are famous for their efforts to get humanely raised meat and fresh vegetables free of GMO's. This isnt a good place for celiacs because they are not careful enough with cross contamination, but if you just have a gluten allergy, this is the place to go!

As far as being Gluten Free, I have to rate the loc across from Sunrise Mall an "F-" at best. Their food is okay - according to my hubby, but I was unable to eat there due to cross contamination issues. Clearly, they have no clue, and assume that it is okay to handle wheat flour tortillas, and then plunge their glutened gloves into the lettuce and cheese bins. They smear rice and beans on the gluten tortillas and plop the spoons back into the rice and bean containers, without a 2nd thought. They do have foods that are GF, but celiacs, and gluten sensitives - BEWARE! The manager laughed and said "yeah, I guess we should be more careful." Sad, that they aren't safe.

Just explain you have a gluten allergy and ask them to change their gloves. They always gladly do. Get a rice bowl because the only thing with gluten are the burritos themselves though I also steer clear of the lettuce since they use their hands for that. I also have a dairy allergy so I stay away from the sour cream and cheese. Sometimes when it is busy, a stray piece of cheese gets in the guacamole but I try to go when it's less busy anyway.

Great business model and great food. They are super efficient, and although I am not celiac, so perhaps not as discerning, they're food handling practices seem excellent. The one situation I could see concern is xcontamination from using the same spoon on all varieties and I suppose I could see that if someone touched a flour tortilla while placing meat in the burrito for example and then putting te spoon back in the meat, that might raise some concern. At any rate, for those with milder sensitivities it seems ok.

Went there yesterday. Told them I had wheat allergy and the person said right away, let me change my gloves. She washed her hands changed her gloves and made my burrito bowl herself, all the way down the line. It was after 5 pm and the line went out door. They gave me an allergen card with list of products and all are gf except flour tortilla. I am new to gf eating and appreciate the fast and easy way to find food. Thank you Chipotle ! I will be back!

BEST GF fast food there is. Usually, but not always, a request for "gluten-free" results in a quick glove change, I don't request spoon changes and counter cleaning - always order the burrito bowl so nothing touches the counter anyway. You can even go dairy-free, corn-free, gluten-free, meat-free, and STILL get a healthy, generous serving of flavorful yummy. Guac is free for veggie bowls, and they serve enough in the bowl for two meals!! I am SO grateful Chipotle's exists!

I did not have a good experience It was my fault it was close to closing and I was on the road ran out of gf snack and was starving with low blood sugar witch make me bleepie. But when I went in and said to the girl I had a gluten intolerance and allergies. I wonted corn tortillas that i eat at all chipotles and never gotten sick and if she could change her gloves before sh touched them. She looked at me like she did not know what she was talking about as she stuck her gluten full glove right into the corn tortillas and said theses. I said never mind I can not have them now that you touched them. She said I do not now what you mean i can change my gloves. I sad that I had a bet of a melt down with teary eyes said no its OK I can not have them now that you touched them all with those gloves. I would have ordered a bowl but when the manager cam out she said are we gluten free She said NO!!! sharply so I waked out m husband stayed behind and was told there was no way the can serve me a gluten free meal. Did they change supplies ??? The website did not say. But I have never had this happen to me at any other location. I did not feel safe maybe it was new employees. then they need to train them. It sucks being GF sometime running out of food and going someplace you are normally safe and told we can not feed you. I did not meen to cry but I was Starving and my blood sugar was really low and I need food fast. 10 minuts down the road was an In and out. They fed me safty.

I have been to several locations in the area, as well as while traveling, and frequently get blank stares when I say I can't have gluten and ask them to change gloves, etc. This location all the staff I have encountered are so accommodating and knowledgable about how to prevent cross-contamination. I simply mention I can't have gluten, the utensils get changed, counters wiped down, hands washed, gloves changed, even during a lunch rush! No explanation needed. They are so friendly about it, too. Super impressive and they have a VERY loyal customer now!

When I told them my son had Celiac and couldn't have any gluten they were awesome. 2 of the line workers stopped, removed their gloves, scrubbed their hands and forearms, put new gloves on and proceeded to make my sons order. Used tin foil to wrap the corn tortillas in to heat up, nothing ever touched the counter or anything where cross contamination could happen. They truly were great about it. I only gave it a 4 star though cause one girl at the register was not very happy about the hold up it caused. But as far as the precautions they get 5 stars.

The people at this Chipotle are very helpful. When they see me walk in the door they start changing their gloves. The food is good and I've never had a problem. But I do avoid the items they use gloved hands to serve, ie: cheese and lettuce.

Not for the extremely gluten intolerant. I went into one in Sacramento and asked the kid behind the counter about gluten free food and he had never heard of gluten before...they obvious don't have a company wide policy for dealing with food allergies. If you are not very sensitive you would probably be okay, but not for me.

Good food. If you have a gluten allergy make sure you explain it to them and ask them to change their gloves. You need to be very diligent in watching how they prepare your food. While that may seem like a hassle it's a better option than getting sick. :-)

I've never had a problem with cross contamination there. In fact, as soon as I tell them that mine needs to be gluten free, only one person handles my food. That person takes their gloves off, washes their hands, puts on new gloves and goes down the line filling my order themselves. I've been VERY impressed!
