Chipotle is an easy, quick option for safe GF food. Although they change gloves if you ask, and can also make your food in the back, we have never gotten sick from food prepared without those measures. However it’s important to note that we have not tried the tacos. We have only had the burrito bowls, which don’t involve the same equipment as the burritos. So the tacos made with corn tortillas may not be safe. It is a good option for “normal” food without having to wait extra time for GF or get a different/“weird” meal.

The manager was really good about telling the staff to clean, change gloves, and replace items like lettuce and cheese where they grab it by hand. Very good experience
Yes
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
They are very careful in serving you. They changed gloves, took items from a new container to insure no cross contamination. They also wash the counter before preparing my meal. They went above the norm.
Chipotle is awesome. All locations are really good with gf allergies by making sure that every thing is wiped down. and they always change there gloves. Every single thing there is gluten free except the burrito. It would be cool though if they did have a gf burrito.
By far the best trained Chipolte location when it comes to a gluten allergy! They wipe down the entire line and everyone changes gloves. I have been to many chipolte locations and none compare to the way this one is run!
I appreciate their variety of gluten free options. My daughter complains about the beans being spicy but she’s just a picky eater overall. She does enjoy the rice, queso, chicken, chips, etc. I like that I can get her a full kids meal here.

A manger is celiac and makes an effort however there is a lot of cross contamination and any type of veggie will have gluten contamination because the quesadillas are cut on the same cutting boards all veggies are cut on with minimal sanitizing and no discretion of which one is veggies only

Yikes. I've seen some Chipotle's that are fairly safe but today was not it. The server knew what cross contamination was, and she changed gloves, washed her hands, wiped down the counter, but while she was wiping everything down crumbs were falling back into the bins, and I was watching them serve before hand and the ladles would brush right against the tortillas before going back into the containers. It was probably right after the rush too. Didn't even bother ordering because I knew I'd be sick.

Not celiac level gluten free friendly, unable to get food from the back and don’t really understand cross contamination!
