When I said I was gluten free, they were very careful and even changed out the spoons for the ingredients. Very tasty and very safe. Chipotle is very open on their website about allergens. Thank you - staff was great and so was the food!

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
They washed their hands, changed gloves, utensils, the washed the counter to be sure my food was safe.

My husband and I stumbled across this facility while driving from Indianapolis to Chicago on their opening weekend. I'm blown away! I actually asked to speak to their manager to thank him for how his staff handled my gluten allergy. They immediately wash their hands and arms, change their gloves, and get all new spoons for the meat, beans, and veggies. Any item past that is pulled from the back so there is absolutely no risk of cross contamination in any of their food (lettuce and cheese...yay!). The staff work wonderfully with you and never for a moment make you feel like you are being a pain...even though everything stops for you. I wish that every Chipotle responded this way to allergies! Congrats on being a must-stop every time we drive through!

Best GF fast food experience so far. They didn’t make me feel weird or like I took too much time. I told them I have a gluten allergy and the line stopped. They changed spoons for what I ordered, wiped down the counter, got out fresh cheese and lettuce, changed gloves, and one person took charge of my order seeing it through to the end of the line. I know there’s still a risk, but I’m thankful for all they did to help me eat with my family.

I was a little concerned when I read it had been two years since the last review, but I went and as soon as I told the server I had celiac, she immediately offered to wipe down the surfaces and change gloves. She did it so cheerfully also!

Lots of gluten free options, good choice for catering, and ability to sort through gluten free options by using their dietary filter online. There are good options available if you're dairy free/vegan as well!

While there’s obviously a chance of cross contamination, the workers here are very nice and accommodating. Everything except for the tortillas is gluten free. I always ask them to change their gloves and this past time a worker felt her glove touch the tortillas after changing them so she immediately changed them again! They never have a problem getting lettuce or cheese from the back which I appreciate! I have not had a reaction here yet and I am very sensitive!
