Not GF friendly. I am not celiac, but I do avoid gluten for autoimmune issues. I am also very allergic to nuts. I asked if there gf buns had nut flours… which turned into the cashier asking if the gf buns had flour… which was given a response of no. 🤨 the question was re-asked and given the same response.
I asked for a burger wrapped in lettuce (which is gratefully on the menu). When it came there was a deep fried onion ring bit in the basket. *sigh
While waiting for the burger I asked if there were GF beers, to which I got a “I don’t think so.” The bar tender was very nice, but she had no idea what would be considered gf. She stated she didn’t think anything was gf… as I am staring at a fully stocked bar with wine and mixed drinks.
Nice people poor allergy education.

Not celiac friendly. Lots of confusion on the fryers. Seems to change daily. They do have a GF bun but cc would be a high risk at peak times. Too many other safe burger places to stop off here.
No
Chip’s used to have a gluten free French fry and there was some confusion. They are going back to one - the problem come in dedicated fryers- two of three stores are slow enough to have that but Plano got too busy. If you ask there managers they will tell you they are more better for people who are gluten free intolerant vs true celiacs who probably should be much more careful there. The good news is they are great people and will do anything they can to help. However not all are educated.
I worked at this Chip’s location for a good 8 months as a busser and I can say that it is somewhat Celiac friendly.
Don’t be afraid to ask for the cooks to change their gloves and clean off the grills. It takes seconds. The restaurant gets VERY busy during dinner time so I would highly recommend going in between lunch and dinner or after the rush dies down to prevent cross-contamination.
I’m sorry to say that none of the fries are GF because everything is fried in the same oil. The only things I’m positive that are GF is
- the burger patties: because nothing gluten related goes on the grill. You can get it in a GF bun or bed of lettuce.
- Grilled Chicken Sandwiches: except the ones with cheese and marinated (I don’t know what they marinate it in)
- Salads (minus southwest chicken): without cheese, croutons, tortilla strips, fried chicken, taco shell, fried onions
- The Grilled and Blackened Fish
- Ahi Tuna plate: it comes with Cole slaw which I’m not sure about
- quac
- Cup of fruit
- side of broccoli
- side of carrots
- side of celery
- rice
MAYBE GF (but I would ask):
- salsa: not the chips they’re fried
- Cole slaw
- Veggie patty
- BBQ sauce
- Blue cheese
- southwest chicken salad: because the chicken is marinated in BBQ sauce
- ice-cream for the shakes come from a machine so ask the manager about the ingredients. If the ice-cream is GF then all of the shakes, NOT MALTS, without cookies are too.
I hope this helped!
