Review of Chiringo

I really enjoyed the food here. Wanted a little more from the breading but still okay. Parking is tough so park at the designated shuttle lot and walk or ride the bus over. We were lucky to get a spot right out front. We made reservations too because they can be busy. Side note: their card reader was down and they could only accept cash which gave us a bit anxiety that we would miss our reservation. But thankfully the bar across the street has an ATM if you need it.

Hostess was nice. Asked my waiter about gluten free procedure and if they changed gloves or anything. He kinda shrugged it off and said no and that “most gluten free people who eat here don’t ever get sick”. A little concerning considering they’re handling bread. I opted for the fried shrimp basket and a fried shrimp taco. Loved the taco. No reaction (which is unfortunately always a gamble and not a guarantee).

Good margarita and nice view of the beach.

Oh and the fried plantains are love.
