What a treat- a gluten free churro in Madrid. With dipping/sipping I’m in heaven. Mine took longer than others and was served on a black plate where the regular ones are served on white plates. If you’re in Madrid definitely pop into this spot which has been in the same family since 1902!

We had gluten free churros. Very delicious. I noticed many have written that there is no gluten free menu. That is not true as of this writing. They have a very extensive dedicated gluten free menu.

(Jul 2023) Came for churros & hot chocolate. Had a separate GF menu with many options (many kinds of chocolate & coffee, churros, toasts, burgers, etc) and everyone was knowledgeable about cross contamination. GF stuff fried to-order in dedicated GF space and served on differently-colored plate. Server said they actually have a restaurant across the street that’s entirely GF! (Family said glutenous options were tasty, too.)

Got the gluten free churros and vegan chocolate( made with soy milk). The gluten free items are all made in the upstairs kitchen separate from the regular kitchen. They also use black plates for gluten free so it can’t be messed up.

Tasty churros in the heart of Madrid. Friendly staff, take away option, separate GF menu. I will definitely visit them in the next days, as well!

Saw this place when leaving Madrid Grill, it read gluten free. I asked the cashier if it was safe for me who had Celiac to eat here, he explained their gluten free items are made in a completely separate kitchen (upstairs vs everything else ground level), and brought downstairs in it's own bag. I was there late and the kitchen was closed but also explained they have food items during the day. He also stated the order of this location were the same as Madrid Grill, dedicated gluten free. I did buy churros thinking it would come with sugar and cinnamon but my husband later explained it said it didn't have sugar, wish I would have looked at the menu as they have one dipped in lactose free sugar. They still tasted good. All the people working there were welcoming.

Amazing 1000% GF safe. Incredible way to experience Madrid churro for all! They even give black playes vs white plates when serving to confirm its GF. Delicious!!!!

Delicious!!! I ordered gluten free churros and my friend ordered the regular ones. The waiter brought out one order of churros and set it in front of me and then went back to the kitchen for a couple of minutes before bringing out the other order. Luckily I didn’t eat the ones in front of me because when he brought out the other plate he said “sin gluten” for the plate he set down. My friend and I were able to switch before I ate the gluten churros. The gluten free ones are on black plates so make sure to double check before eating. I will be coming back

This is a typical and historical churreria in Madrid and they offer gluten free, lactose free and vegan churros. I’ve tried churros today and they were excellent! The chef also prepared them in another room and pan and I did not feel bad.
