Great food. Cool vibes. Staff was rude AF, and refused to answer any questions about their gluten free menu since “it’s marked on the menu” and then got impatient (with zero people behind me in line) as I carefully read through the ingredients of a couple tacos (since clearly the dude knew less about celiac and gluten free needs than he did about customer service). That said, I took a chance on a couple items that looked legit and I ended up not having any reaction. Also, the guy got rude when I asked if they had cider or any alcoholic gluten free drinks, which they don’t. If you can get past the shitty attitude, it’s delicious food.
Their kitchen is the size of a closet. While they offer “gluten free” food options, they can not accommodate Celiac disease. They were very nice and honest about it, but I would not recommend unless you just eat gluten free and don’t need to worry about cross contamination.

Chupacabra is an H st. staple, during the warmer times of the year when they are open. With a board of options with allergens listed for every item, it is easy to known what you can and can't eat; and it would be a shame not to eat all you can. Corn tortillas are the default and the chips are safe corn as well. While it is not a dedicated gluten free facility it is very conscious of allergies and makes a great effort to cater to folks with allergies. I recommend the el pastor pork, the boriego spicy lamb, and the guac. The seating is primarily outside and can be cooled and heated depending on the season. Great atmosphere and a good set of folks staffing the place. Just off H Street so it's good to hit for lunch or dinner, or while drinking at the bars.
tl;dr - Great food, good atmosphere and location relative to H Street, I recommend it highly, would visit again.
