Stopped here on opening night hoping to try some vegan “gluten free” options and quickly left after making it to the counter, where I asked questions and watched their team make ice cream for others. As someone who is ServSafe certified, the allergen precautions are out the window here. Hard ice cream is scooped into milkshake containers and then filled with toppings and spun in a machine. Unless they are sterilizing the machine every time or using a separate machine for gluten free items, the cross contamination risks are too high for my comfort level. From there, servers prepare cones with toppings by hand, pressing things like peanuts and cereal into the cones. To me, this place is a cool novelty that shouldn’t advertise catering to the gluten free crowd. Also, the vegan ice cream is soy based, for anyone wondering.

Menu has clearly marked gluten free toppings and ice cream. They take extra precaution to wash machine when they know you’re GF. Fantastic ice cream with cereal churned inside of it.
