Top tier white tablecloth GF safe dining destination on Sanibel. Numerous Gluten-Free items noted on regular menu. Innovative craft cocktails and extensive wine list available by the glass or bottle. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on every menu item. The atmosphere is also wonderful. Most evenings there is an extraordinary talented singer/piano player that is very entertaining without overwhelming dinner conversations. I’ve dined here for several years and have never been disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere, great evening. Highly recommended. Note: be sure to make a reservation.

We asked our server about GF options he said only pasta dishes could be substituted with quinoa. He mentioned there’s a different summer menu. But nothing was marked available as GF and there was no GF menu. Ended up going somewhere else since there were no clear options. Also fryer isn’t gluten free.

Excellent food and service. More than half of the menu is naturally gluten free (and marked as such). The kitchen and waiters are very knowledgeable and adept at handling gluten free meals, along with multiple other food allergies.

Such a great atmosphere for a special evening! Our server Kristy/Christie(?) was also gluten intolerant, which made me feel better about my food. She took great care of us. We got the mussels, salmon, lamb chops, and creme brûlée. Everything was amazing! 10/10 would recommend and go back.
This place is a gem. I enjoyed the fresh catch with crab, whipped potatoes, and vegetables. My partner enjoyed the steak. There was a musician singing and playing piano, and he personally came over to ask me for a song request. Service was also great. Highly recommend! Worth the price.
Went here for a romantic dinner while on vacation and chose it based off the reviews here and glad we did. Their menu is clearly marked with the gluten free options and say probably 75% of the menu is naturally gluten free. Didn't have GF bread but the waitress, Uma, took care of my wife and brought out some raw veggies to make up for it. Anyone looking for a worry free GF dinner this is a must on Sanibel.

First time dining at Il Cielo. Ordered the salmon, lobster and shrimp special and ahi tuna entrees. All were excellent as was the service. Also, appreciated the variety and number of gluten-free items (all indicated on the menu).

My fiancé and I had not one but two FANTASTIC meals here while on vacation. The host, server, and chef were all very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and my specific dietary needs. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic as well. We enjoyed our meal so much that we cancelled the reservations we had at another restaurant and chose to come back again for a second dinner. Thank you to everyone at Il Cielo for not just one, but two, great evenings!
