Limited gluten free options but what was available was very good. We had the GF fish & chips and a gherkin, no complaints.

Popped in for a quick, early dinner before a walking tour. The waitstaff (Peter, Sophie, Vitalia) were friendly and lovely, the food was just okay. The owners are Italian, so all of the wine offerings are Italian (I was fine with this, although it seemed strange in a burger joint), the food is casual. The gf options are mostly limited to burgers and chips, and it was fine but definitely nothing special. I didn’t get sick though (I’m a very sensitive Celiac) so that was nice.

My family loved City Restaurant! They had plenty of options for everyone to choose from, and many gluten free items clearly marked on the menu. The fried fish batter was crispy and delicious and everything we hoped fish and chips could be.

First restaurant we have found in UK with gluten free fish and chips. Excellent food and staff. Close to Royal Mile.

Gluten free fish and chips that are crisp—checked and they use a dedicated gluten free fryer, which all the chips are also fried in so there’s no cross contact with the other batter.

Went there whilst visiting the Surgeons hall and was fantastic. The fish and chips were gluten free but you couldn’t tell. Had the classic greasy spoon feel to it but excellent food. A wide range of well marked gluten free food.
