This place has changed!!! That now do all good prep involving gluten, which is their flatbread alone, in the morning. The reviews for here are from 2018 and their gluten handling practices have changed.

The food here is incredible and worth every bit. The fried beans are incredible - breaded with rice and corn flour. All the meat is safe from the grill. I was not worried about cross contamination after speaking with our waitress, who was super knowledgeable.

Celiac

We walked in and asked about celiac friendliness since they claimed to be so gluten free that all their items are except for the few labeled containing gluten. He asked “how serious” of celiac I was- red flag number one. There are no levels of celiac- if I get diarrhea in 5 minutes or 2 hours it’s still extreme damage to my intestines. Then he told us which items are cooked on the grill along with the flat breads- every single meat on the menu. We were hungry anyway so we thought we’d get the salad anyway and sat down and talked to the server. Then she double checked for us and said that since they make their flat bread in house, there is flour everywhere. Do not eat here. Not celiac friendly whatsoever. We left.

Great restaurant- the menu is almost entirely gluten free. In fact, the menu marks what contains gluten instead of what doesn’t! They also have two gluten free desserts!!The only warning I would give is making sure you TELL your server that you have an allergy, and to bring flatbread out separately (in case someone in your party orders it). I have only had one problem with this, and the kitchen happily re-made the cross contaminated food!!
