The only thing safe for our Celiac girls was the soft serve. They also have dairy free soft serve with almond milk. The employees were a bit put off by questions and not very helpful. One employee actually rolled his eyes... They are all kids, but still it's very unprofessional. Our girls safely consumed the gf blueberry and vanilla soft serve twice during our stay in Bar Harbor.

We went today and were told they do not use separate scoops and don’t take any protocols for allergies but they could do soft serve which should be okay, otherwise they cannot accommodate.

So delicious! I am celiac plus dairy&soy allergy. The almond milk blueberry soft sweve was AMAZING! Because of dairy free I didn't even look at the scoop ice cream.

While the selection of choices is vast, some of the staff is a bit rude. When I asked one employee if they had gluten free cones she looked at me like a deer in headlights, another chimes in that they didn’t and then in a smart tone said, “well actually we do, it’s called a cup”. Ice cream was good.

The hard ice cream is somewhat labeled with a gf, however they don’t do a new scoop from a clean container. It looks like it is Gifford’s ice cream. The soft serve is gluten free. I got the blueberry. I don’t recommend getting the twist (you lose the blueberry flavor).

Cross contamination on hard Ice cream. Get the blueberry soft serve and you're golden!
