Worked with staff to make sure items were gluten free. Very nice to help me.

Sadly this review has to change from original. New review 10/24/19 Have retested since switching g staff and all main entrees have tested positive with Nima. Just tested saag paneer, navaratan korma, and tandoor all positive. Sadly my favorite has changed. (Old review:Very yummy and no problems. Very sensitive to cross contamination. Have Nima gluten sensor - mango lassi, chicken tandoori, and Navratan korma tested gluten free. Ate same of all and didn’t bother me.)

I visited on a slow Sunday afternoon while the buffet was offered. I told a server (who may have been the owner, not sure) that I have a severe gluten allergy and wanted to know what items on the buffet were safe. He was quick to answer and pointed out what I could not have. I enjoyed 5-6 items all of which were delicious. Excellent service. I’ve been to multiple Indian restaurants in the city and this was the best I’ve had. Also very affordable at $10.99 for the lunch buffet.
I went to The Clay Oven With a friend of mine. I was not sure if I would be able to eat there. When I arrived the server did not know what it could be made gluten-free and what could not. She went and got the chef, I later found out he was the owner. He made my dish to order. I cannot eat gluten or dairy among other things as well. I was really surprised at how willing and eggar he was to accommodate my dietary needs. When the food arrived I was so pleased! The aroma, the way it was presented, and oh my God the taste! I am head over heels in love with this restaurant and I cannot wait to return.
