This is an old style restaurant (early 70’s) with a few games and candy machines for the kids. We were told “seat yourself” when we arrived. Our family of 4 sat at a table and waited for the wait staff. About 10 minutes later we were given menus and our drink order was taken. When our drinks were dropped off we went to place our order; I told the waitress I was starving and would like an order of breadsticks. “They’ll most likely arrive at the same time of the pizza.” The waitress said so I ordered a salad instead. After waiting about 20 minuets for my salad my husband asked the waitress “Is my wife going to get the salad she ordered?” “Eventually” the waitress replied. She delivered my salad 5 minutes later and about 5 minutes after that my husband received his sub. However, it took 45 minutes for my children to receive the pizza we ordered for them. The crust was so hard the kitchen couldn’t even cut through it with their pizza cutter! I tried cutting it with a knife and fork and my fork bent! We ended up giving the kids only the toppings to eat. When we showed the waitress the crust she took it and bent it in half and responded “huh” walked away and came back with our bill saying “gluten free” crusts are harder. “I have had many gluten free crusts before but never one that you can’t cut.” I replied. It took another 10 minuets to get out credit card back after paying full price for a pizza the kids couldn’t thoroughly enjoy. Plus on the way out my son fell and I stumbled because there are small steps that aren’t well marked.
