It is very tasty and the service is very attentive. There is no special gluten-free meal, but you can replace almost everything with a corn tortilla.

I called and asked about cross contamination with just the chips and they said that the chile rellenos are cooked in the same oil. The chips are not cross contamination safe. They recommended a salad. Probably not safe for celiac.

I’m very sensitive and had no reaction to the chicken fajitas with beans and rice. They do have a gluten free menu, but you need to ask. Food was excellent and our server was helpful ( he knew what was on the gf menu), but not that knowledgeable about celiac.

This was my first time here; I'd been eyeing it for a bit and felt encouraged when I saw someone post it on the San Diego Celiacs Facebook group.
When we got there were were impressed by the atmosphere; it reminded us very much of Old Town. They even had a live harpist and a photographer. All the staff was kind and opened doors for us for me to go through with a stroller. When I mentioned my celiac disease; the waitress admitted she wasn't too sure about their gluten free procedures and asked for the manager to come out and talk to us. He was super knowledgeable and offered to personally made my meal so there wouldn't be cross-contamination! That was some of the best service I had ever received.
We went through the gluten free menu together and I chose the surf and turf platter. He swapped out rice for a big platter of vegetarian beans and made sure all my food was cooked in olive oil and seasoned with gluten free seasoning. Everything I tasted was superb; it was some of the best, juiciest carne asada I'd ever had!
My husband got the brunch buffet and raved about the fact that they had all of his Mexican childhood favorite dishes available and for a very low price; 24.99 including dessert and a drink! We will DEFINITELY be back. I'd venture to say that it will be our new go-to Mexican restaurant and a place we take out-of-town guests.

Very helpful. Gluten free menu. Not entirely cross contamination free with tortillas as they’re cooked on the same surface but good communication and I am not sick!
