The Central Ave Coco's used to be a place where the staff paid attention to your needs. The few gluten-free foods varied over the years, but I never got sick because they listened to me. However, for my birthday last year, they changed their system and had a guy who seemed to be a maitre d'. (Why? Coco's?)

Anyway, the menu had changed, and I was trying to work with the waitress about my gluten-free needs. She was trying, but the maitre d' was dictating what he thought I needed and overruling anything the poor waitress tried to do to help.

Also, he didn't go back and ask the cooks when he wasn't sure, so I finally had to just get a plain steak and potato worth $$$. The steak came out raw, raw, raw. So, I complained, and he grabbed the WHOLE PLATE to take it back for a recook.

In a near empty restaurant, this took over 10 minutes. My family finished before I even took a second bite. This USED to be a good restaurant. I contacted the company with a complaint, but of course, they never responded. Now, I refuse to step inside.
