Review of Columbia County Bistro

We are from Hillsboro and decided to have dinner at Columbia County Bistro last night. It was SO nice to have a dedicated gluten-free restaurant to eat at. I ordered the Mac Daddy which was two seared slabs of gluten-free (mine was also dairy-free) mac and cheese with pulled pork with bbq sauce in between the slabs. It came with a side of pineapple slaw. I can’t have egg so I was thrilled that the slaw was not made with mayonnaise! My food was delicious! There was too much bbq sauce for my liking, but I know next time to let them know to go easy on the sauce. I also ordered the lavender mint cocktail. It was pretty good. A little on the sweet side but I added a little salt from my husband’s pineapple margarita and it was so good! I couldn’t tell if there was alcohol in it, which for $12 should have plenty. My husband ordered the Waygu beef burger with fries and the pineapple margarita. He said the burger was really good but needed some acidity to it. I stole some of his fries and can tell you they were delicious! Lol He was disappointed that his pineapple margarita did not have enough pineapple for his liking and agreed that there seemed to be a lack of alcohol. All in all, everything was great and we will definitely be back!! So thrilled to find a new, safe place to eat. Check their Facebook page for their menu. Their current menu is for the next two weeks. We loved that there were only four meals to choose from. I had such a hard time picking both my meal and cocktail. Everything sounds and looks so good!
