Like nearly all restaurants in CDMX, GF items are not marked on menu at Herencia. But for such a small eatery, this place has super-polite, super-attentive waiters who are well-schooled in food allergies. For breakfast I had a simple ham and cheese omelette with black beans on the side, but it was very tasty and was prepared GF and without cross-contamination. For lunch the next day I tried their walnut encrusted tuna steak. Do not recommend! All I tasted was salt, which is a fairly common occurrence in many of the modestly priced restaurants in CDMX. That said, I ate at Herencia a total of three times and did not get sick.
