This is a locally owned, homemade ice cream shop. Wild West themed (hence the name), they are located in a strip mall. There is a good assortment of rotating flavors, some standard fare and others such as lavender or goat milk based. Each flavor card displays a notation at the bottom saying whether it has gluten or nuts, making navigation of the flavors extremely easy. For your gluten eating friends and family, they make homemade waffle cones as well.
When I approached the younger girl at the register to order, I asked for a small favor, mentioned I was Celiac, and before I could say anything else, she said they would be happy to switch/wash the scoop before scooping my gluten free flavors. The boy scooping the ice cream did just that.
There was a small hiccup, as he confused my order with someone else’s and I did not know until I took a small bite of my ice cream to discover a flavor I definitely hadn’t ordered. It did contain gluten, but apologetically it was fixed quickly and with no issues.
I got two scoops, maple pecan and butter pecan. The flavors were absolutely delicious and so pure. You can taste the care that they put into making their ice cream. My wife got lavender (gf) and chai latte (contains gluten) in a waffle cone. She absolutely loved both. I was able to try the lavender and it was incredible. We have finally found our go to ice cream spot!
