Confections by Kirari West

This review is long overdue… I visited Confections by Kirari West last summer while vacationing in LA. Because it had (has) SO MANY awesome reviews and my kiddo is GF/DF, we made the trek to Redondo Beach just to try their goods. We were NOT disappointed!! My daughter LOVED their cookies! She tried their GF Vegan Red Velvet w/ vanilla glaze, Banana Dark Chocolate and their GF Birthday Cake and Dark Chocolate Chunk w/ Roasted Walnuts which are not DF but she can eat in small quantities. Since this is all she wanted, I can’t comment on any of the other items. But everything looked delicious! Oh, I DID try their banana doughnut which was to die for! To anyone who’s interested — we loved their cookies SO much that my husband and I ordered them at Christmas as a special surprise for our daughter. Living on the other side of the nation, we were a little worried about the condition they’d be in when they arrived. Luckily, the folks at Kirari West packed everything expertly — not one cookie was damaged! And they were just as fresh as the day we’d eaten them at the bakery. I highly recommend ordering from them online! Plus, when I had concerns/questions about my order, they responded promptly and were very helpful. :)

It is a small shop with lots of 100% baked gluten free options, such as donuts, breads, cookies, waffle cones and even sandwiches made on waffle cones!

I ordered two cookies to go: the lemon poppy and original chocolate chip. They were a nice size and I was pleased with their appearance.

The service was fantastic in this shop and very helpful. I was thrilled that it was a dedicated gluten free place!

The cookies were good. I preferred the lemon poppy over the chocolate chip, pleased with both!

Wow!! I’m always looking for new places that are safe for my son, and this place is awesome! There are actually two GF bakeries/cafes in the same strip mall, both run by the same owner- Kirari West Bake Shop and Confections by Kirari West. Both had great staff who are very accommodating and knowledgeable. I had a waffle topped with an egg, ham and Gruyère cheese- delicious. The waffle was very fluffy and you wouldn’t even know it’s GF. I bought a few more bakery items to bring home to my son on the east coast, and was informed that they will ship some of their items via their website (kirariwest.com and confectionskw.com) Will definitely be stopping by here anytime I’m in town.

AMAZING! My husband and I had the waffles for breakfast and went back for lunch ordering the pizza. My husband does not eat gf but he enjoyed it as much as I did. It was nice having food that tastes the way I remember. Wish we lived closer than four hours away.

I had some of their desserts and thought they were good some better then others but their breakfast…. PHENOMENAL! We had their pancakes and their waffles and egg breakfasts and all of them were unbelievably tasty!!! It’s going to be our new breakfast place. It’s small and it wasn’t busy and our food all came out at different times but still…. Was soooooo yummy!

The cookies are amaaazing. My boyfriend couldn’t agree more and he’s a gluten eater. I would recommend the cookie sundae with the vanilla vegan ice cream, chocolate chip cookie and butterscotch drizzle. Will definitely be coming here when I’m in need of some sugar

Phenomenal all gluten-free cookie shop. They also make waffles and donuts. Get the butterscotch miso cookie. You won’t regret it.

Kirari West’s new cookie shop is absolutely amazing! The cooking are so fresh and delicious and you wouldn’t even know they are gluten free. They also have an ice cream sundae made with their cookies as a base. So delicious and worth a stop here. My daughter and I both have celiac and have had great experiences here and also over many years at Kirari West.
