I ordered delivery because I am traveling alone on business. Very impressive GF menu options, it was difficult to decide. What got me to order was that they have a few GF dessert options. I ordered way too much food, but couldn’t decide. One thing, my food was delivered with a roll and butter, my instinct was that it wasn’t GF even though I have read reviews that they have GF dinner rolls, so I called the restaurant to confirm. It was in fact not GF. One thing my 9 years eating GF is .... if it looks too good to be true, it probably isn’t GF. I was a little bummed, but glad I caught it. The restaurant offered to have GF bread re-delivered. I felt too bad for the delivery person to have to deliver a single roll, and honestly, I could do without it.

I am changing my review. I used to be able to trust this place no matter what, but before I left Northwest Indiana in autumn 2020, the last three or four meals that I received from CH got me very sick. Most of them were before Covid. There was one after Covid that was a carry out order, and we spent a fortune for it and I couldn’t eat it because they cross contaminated my steak with bread. If you order from there, I would recommend that you talk to a manager. Do not just give your order to the wait staff. They really need to work at getting their act together. This makes me very sad because I used to love Coopers Hawk. I went there for many many many years, and I recommended it to so many people. Worse yet, the last time I called to complain, they said they would send me some coupons, and I never received them. I had an entire group of people that I was going to bring there. Maybe they have it in the system that I called to complain previously, and they decided to ignore me, Or maybe they knew I was moving out of the area and they decided to ignore me. I don’t know, but I come into the area all the time and I would eat there all the time, except now I can’t trust them anymore.

You will not get sick here. They have a separate gf menu and are VERY knowledgable. One of the most knowledgable places ive ever ate at and i was dxed with celiac 15 years ago. It is pricey for the meals for sure and at its core a pretentious wine tasting place. I went there for my bday when i noticed they had a gf flourless choclate cake with whip cream, berries and a rasberry sauce. I would NOT order any entrees from here. Its a wine tasting place so theyre desserts and appetizers are what most people order with wine and not entrees. On a good note, the entrees ate the pricey thing. The appetizers and desserts are more like $$ than $$$. For an appetizer i ordered the mexican drunken shrimp. The entrees arent worth the money in terms of taste, but the appetizers and desserts were beyond incredible. Highly highly recommend this place for its safety, but also the taste of the food. Next time though im only doing the appetizers and desserts. Both of which have plenty of options for someone with celiac.

So so so happy to have found out this very nice place that take gluten free seriously! They actually had GF items in the kids menu for my celiac 3 year old! I called ahead and talked to kitchen manager and was told they do ALL GF in separate pans ,etc. Waitress confirmed same when we got there. they even had gluten free bread thay wasn't a hard for a 3 year old to eat Udi roll! So Happy!

Love that u have sweets and a variety of flavors for entrees.
Please find gluten free pasta that is also corn free pasta. It really is an issue. Besides myself, I know a lot of people who have corn issues along with gluten. There is quinoa (even better than rice) and there is rice pasta.
This is my go-to restaurant for gluten-free dining. The food is delicious, and I know I can eat there safely, without the threat of cross-contamination or getting sick.
The dedicated gluten-free menu has a lot of options, including appetizers and desserts.
I do not care for their gluten-free pasta. It comes watered-down and lacks flavor. The last time I ordered a gf pasta dish, I had to send it back.
I wish Cooper's Hawk would use different hamburger buns. The ones they have now crumble, and sometimes they taste freezer-burned. It is impossible to eat a hamburger without using a knife and fork. I also wish they'd find a way to get a dedicated fryer for french fries.
Right now, if I want a burger, I go to Red Robin.Otherwise, it's Cooper's Hawk for me.
Their white chocolate truffles and dark chocolate truffles are gluten free, which is nice, but they do not taste nearly as good as they once did. They must have changed the recipe.
Wait staff is usually good. Find someone you like, get their schedule and then ask for that server when you come in. Otherwise, the service can be sketchy -- never bad, it's just that some servers are better than others.
For example, on one of my birthdays, they brought the usual white chocolate truffle and chocolate dipped strawberry, gratis, with a candle. That's their usual thing to do.
However, since I no longer care for the chocolate there, I would have liked to have ordered an additional dessert from the menu. My husband would have ordered something, too, along with enjoying the truffle. I also would have liked coffee. The server just plopped the plate down and walked away without asking if there might be something else we'd like, or if my husband would like to order dessert. Not only were we ill-served, the server lost money for Cooper's Hawk.
So, I gave my dessert to hubby and skipped my birthday celebration.
Cooper's Hawk: I love ya, but you still have a way to go to earn 5-stars.

They have a separate gluten free menu! They aren't the cheapest place but they have great gluten free food options already available! Definitely worth the money.

i have not been there yet, but the gluten free menu is awesome! they have gluten free burgers (with gluten free buns!), gluten free sandwiches (with gluten free bread!), desserts and more! its pricey but worth the splurge. and the wine looks heavenly!
I have eaten at Cooper’s Hawk Annapolis many times over the years. I just ate there for the second time since my celiac diagnosis. The menu is extensive, and their recommended wine pairings are helpful. There is an actual physical gf menu. It has a number of good offerings. Last time the salad I ordered came out with croutons by mistake. The server was very embarrassed and said she threw it out herself and spoke with the chef. I appreciated the server’s concern. It was a good meal and evening.
Fortunately this time there weren’t any hiccups. The server said she marked my order “gluten allergy”, which would mean it would be cooked separately. The server brought me warm gf bread, a good Cabernet S., a kale caesar side salad and, for the main course, a Black and Bleu cheeseburger, grilled squash and fresh fruit. It was all delicious. I may join their wine club.

Amazing food. The G/F bread was the best I have had, hands down. They understand allergies and food restrictions!
