Not to be trusted around gluten and cross contamination. Too bad - it’s a very cute restaurant with great prices for happy hour small plates. We had wine and I got the fig & prosciutto plate. Asked for no crackers. The server brought me the plate with crackers which, she assured me, the chef told her were gluten free. She said she double checked and was told yes, they are gluten free. I’d had a glass of wine and didn’t want to make a scene, so I ate them. 5 hours later, I’m home and feeling sick in that distinct way. Didn’t eat anything else out of the house today, so it must’ve been this. I don’t think the server was lying, but either the chef doesn’t know what gluten is, or there is serious cross contamination in the kitchen. Avoid the food here if you have celiac or serious intolerance.
