Menu is not labeled gf, staff is mildly aware. I had pad thai which is normally gf. Feel ok. It was nothing great.

I had the Korean ribs, they were without sauce, but still tasty. I also had the lo mein with rice noodles which were delicious. No stomach issues at all!

Also very surprised by the other reviews and I’m glad it didn’t deter me from trying this place out! We went here twice as we were staying at the Mansion House, and I am so glad I got to since the food was AMAZING. I had the Lo mein one night and chicken & broccoli the next, and my boyfriend got the szechuan gluten free too so I could try. Everything was so so good and it was so fun to be able to eat “Chinese food” again like I used to. Both waitresses we had explained what could be made gf (Lo mein, a number of chicken & shrimp dishes). She said all the pork was not gf (I assume it’s all seasoned in a certain way?) and did mention that the fried shrimp is battered in gf batter, but fried in the same fryer as the glutenous food, so I steered clear of that since I’m celiac. If there had been cross contamination or if the food was actually made with gluten I would have definitely known, but I had no reaction at all! Overall, highly recommend and wish we had a place like this at home!

I’m so surprised to read those negative reviews. This is my kids absolute favorite place on the island. They have a GF menu (a regular menu marked up with a sharpie but it’s very thorough.) They don’t have a dedicated frier, but when we are going, we call a few hours ahead and tell them we are coming in with our Celiac family and ask if it would be possible to get a clean pot of oil ready for them. Usually they are happy to do that. The manager has a very clear understanding of Celiac and cross contamination but I’m not sure the wait staff does, so make sure to talk to the manager (maybe it’s the owner actually?). My kids order the same thing every time: crispy shrimp and tofu.

I went here 3 years ago at a friend’s suggestion. I got horribly ill afterwards. It was the worst reaction I have ever had.

NOT CELIAC SAFE. Waitress assured me food was safe and they took extra precautions. I had an immediate reaction and it ruined the rest of my stay in the vineyard.

We ate here last night and ordered gluten free. We told them we both have celiac, and they assured us what we ordered was gluten free. I had a near immediate reaction and my so did my friend. The food was bland and certainly NOT gluten free!

I love this place! We ordered 4 gluten free dishes and all of them were really good. Fresh, light taste, best quality produce- superior Chinese food. As a person who can't eat gluten I'm so glad to have found a place where I had a lot of options and the gf options were very tasty.

Staff knowledgeable about GF, cross contamination. They have a menu marked up with GF and can-be-GF options. Food was pretty good and neither of the celiacs in our family got sick! Plus, lots of fun drinks.

Nice to have gf Chinese food on the island. Food was good not great.
As a family of four, eating out can be a challenge. Two of us have Celiac disease, one has gluten sensitivity, and one has an egg allergy. Meal time can be stressful if the servers and staff aren't well versed in what we can safely eat. That can ruin a few days, especially when on vacation. And our daughter not only has Celiac disease, she's the pickiest eater on the planet. She loved her meals and dessert there. At Copper Wok, we were very confident up that we could eat safely. The owner, manager, staff, and servers are very knowledgeable about what items on the menu can be prepared gluten free. We visited at lunch and at dinner another day. The food was consistently light, filling, and delicious. This is no fast food restaurant. It's like gourmet Asian fusion. They have a menu that lists which items are naturally gluten free, and several others that they can modify to accommodate. Good sized portions, great presentation. Menu options are creative and unique. Servers were prompt and friendly. The atmosphere has an upscale feel, but everything was reasonably priced. Fried calamari, chicken or beef with broccoli, lo mein, sushi, flourless chocolate cake--Whether you have an issue with gluten or not, you can't go wrong with Copper Wok.
