Review of Cortadito Cuban Cuisine

Review

If you’re in the mood for Cuban cuisine on the Lower East Side then you might want to check out Cortadito. With a great location and delicious food, one of its few downfalls is size. If you’re not big on loud noises or close spaces then you might want to sit in the outdoor area if possible. The inside is extremely small and loud due to both the patrons and the speakers blasting.

Unfortunately, the menu isn’t marked so you might have to do a little research beforehand or ask your server about what’s gf. I’ve only had the arroz con pollo and have been fine every time. No matter what you choose, however, the general consensus seems to be you can’t go wrong.

I will warn you against the black beans though. They come with EVERYTHING and as someone who is sensitive to the ingredients added in them, I’d be cautious if you’re also celiac. Luckily, they’re usually on the side so you don’t have to worry about cross contamination.
