I was diagnosed with celiac 2 months ago and haven’t been to a restaurant in 4 months due to severe health issues not being able to leave the house for long periods of time. Seeing this restaurant on the app of somewhere great to go and trust it had to be my first place to try. I WAS NOT disappointed. Our server immediately asked if I wanted to speak with the owner upon telling her my allergy. She came out and told me her journey and asked me about mine. She answered all questions a reassured me I would OK. We received our food quickly and the portions were very generous. The prices were very competitive and the taste was amazing. Everything was made fresh and piping hot. We will 100000% be back. I’m so glad I have a place so close I can count on to take care of me and not be scared of getting ill. Thank you so much!!!!

Went there for the first time based on the recommendations. Cannot say enough good things about our experience there, the owner came over and talked to us once I told the server I had celiacs. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and attentive plus the food was great.

Delicious food. When I asked about gluten free, I was asked if I have celiac. My food was prepared and brought out separately. The menu was marked with a variety of gluten free options. A well-informed, delicious restaurant.

Excellent Gluten Free foods. I had a great GF meal. Easy to read menu and lots to choose from. I had 3 others with me who are not celiac and they really enjoyed their meals. I am a super sensitive celiac and felt great after my lunch. Loved it!!

This place was great but be warned. There are signs asking to indicate food allergies. When you order something (marked GF on the menu) and mention you want it gluten free, you will unknowingly be charged a $4 fee. Had a great lunch but seeing that on the bill kind of ruined the experience. I can understand having a fee for taking additional cross contamination measures (I guess) but I did not request that (she even asked if I was celiac and I said no) and there was no disclosure of an extra cost.

I finally got to eat out, felt safe and everything came out perfectly. If you need you celiac and allergies accommodated, the owner has your back. Answered ALL questions I had, reassured me of everything. My order came put separate from my family. No reactions whatsoever and sensitive to both spices and cross contamination. I got steak and chicken tacos.both were delish can't wait to go back an try more. Worth the drive. Never felt sp accommodated by someone. If you ate wanting to eat put but scared.... GO HERE. Staff was amazing as well!

Rosy and her staff are very well experienced in gluten free, especially since she is Celiac herself and has other dietary restrictions so she is the best person to understand the severity of the cross contamination factor. Everything gluten free is cooked separately and handled with extreme care. She can accommodate for any allergies or restrictions and best of all her food is DELICIOUS!! It’s very safe to eat here since we’ve ordered out and dined in multiple times. It’s the consistency that matters too.

We were driving through and I found this restaurant on this app. The owner and chef is Celiac. She is super nice and knows how to keep everything Celiac safe. I had the steak fajitas, and my mom had the chicken enchiladas. The guacamole is “out of this world” and she had bagged Certified Gluten Free Chips for us Celiac people who cannot have cross contact / contamination. Super friendly and super cute! They even sell a little alcohol.

The owner made me feel right at home! All of her staff is trained on cross-contamination. If you have other non-gluten free people at your table make sure they give you separate chips. The owner made sure to bring me out my own that were made in one of their dedicated fryers. I got the enchiladas and they were incredible! I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area. Make sure you tell them if you have celiac disease, and they will take great care of you.

Sweetest restaurant owner I have ever met and she also has celiac like us. Very accommodating and knowledgeable on celiac and all food is separate and handled by the owner herself as she makes the gf orders. Lot's of gf options on the menu and all made by one person with gloves & all pre-cautions are taken safely. Kind and polite workers and owner who also has celiac made us feel so safe eating there.

Such a great experience here! The owner who has celiac took wonderful care of us and we talked at length about diagnoses. She is super knowledgeable and careful, we felt completely safe and no reaction from our super sensitive celiac! The food was delicious and ready so fast. All of the staff were so friendly and so sweet and accommodating to our young children. If we lived closer we’d be here all the time! So thankful!

Costa Azul Mexican Restaurant was absolutely delicious! We’re SoCal transplants to the East Coast and have been missing good SoCal style Mexican food. The reviews here were great so we stopped by on our way through town and we were not disappointed! We had the enchiladas, chicken fajitas and chicken nachos. The restaurant is NOT dedicated GF, but one of the owners has Celiac and the majority of the menu is safe. They took great care of us! They’re transplants from SoCal too, so we finally were able to find great Southwest Mexican Food on the east coast! 🙌🏼👏🏼

Rosy came out to the table to discuss my allergies (and told me about her allergies and celiac’s diagnosis). She brought me a separate bowl of guacamole from the rest of my family’s order. She also served me my food with handmade corn tortillas ahead of the rest of my family to make sure everything was separate and safe. Everything was so delicious and I felt so safe.

The food was very good and I didn’t get sick. They went out of their way to make the chips in a separate fryer and they remade the food after the chef realized an ingredient might have gluten. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten and cross-contamination because the owner has celiac. However, I’m giving them 3 stars because my husband (not celiac or GF) got sick after having the Paella. They don’t have much indoor seating. Also a word of caution, it’s located in a dangerous area. Be advised if you are coming from Vero Beach.

Delicious and safely prepared food! Things are clearly marked on the menu. The owner (Rosy) is a Celiac and understands completely how much it means to the gf community to be able to eat a meal without stressing over possibly getting sick. She personally came to the table and we had a great conversation. The Cochinita Pabil was moist and tender as was the chicken on the Mexican Nachos. The generous serving of flan was a wonderful ending. Thank you Rosy. Wishing you good health!

Great place & amazing food. Unassuming from the outside but clean, nice atmosphere inside. Greeted by very friendly staff and when I said I had a gluten intolerance the chef (she has celiacs) came out & spoke to me. The extensive menu is clearly marked for gluten-free options, but stated that most things could be made gluten free. Most importantly the food was delicious! We had the enchiladas with verde sauce & steak tacos. It was served hot & fresh with rice & beans. We will definitely go back & highly recommend to anyone to give it a try!

This is THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT we have ever been to. The wait staff was wonderful. It’s a small locally owned business. They used the freshest ingredients and were extra cautious with our food. After speaking with the chef/owner (who has celiac sprue herself) we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about getting sick.
We ended up going twice and would have went every day had we found it sooner.
The seafood paella, enchiladas, and nachos were delicious. The guacamole was to die for. Prepare to wait a bit longer than at most chains, but that’s because everything is made fresh and they take extra precautions with the gluten free options.
No extra menu required. The GF options are clearly listed on the main menu.
*It is in a slightly rougher part of town, but we never felt unsafe.

WHAT A GEM!!! I have complete confidence eating here. The owner/chef is celiac and she cooked my order safely and bagged it all separately from my family’s orders. I had the best taquitos of my life, seafood enchiladas, chips and the freshest guacamole.
The meals are very filling, too. Four taquitos comes with salad, rice and beans. I’m usually not the biggest fan of rice and beans and I practically licked my plate.
The seafood enchiladas are really flavorful. 4 of them come with the same sides as above. Definitely another favorite.
If you’re having trouble deciding whether to eat here or not, do it.

Amazing, delicious, and authentic food. A family member/owner has celiac so therefore they are 100% aware about cross-contamination. What an amazing find on a road trip. Also for anyone who is sensitive to spice, it is lightly spicy.

EXCEPTIONAL Food and Service! I am celiac’s and have to be very careful about gluten cross contamination. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The owner Rosy has had her own very challenging journey with celiac’s And as a result was extremely knowledgeable. The care to avoid cross contamination and the quality of the food was amazing. Rosy and her husband Angelo own this business. They both came to our table personally to ensure we were happy with our food. We had the fajitas and I can truly say they were the best I’ve ever had! It was a true gift to enjoy gluten free food with total peace of mind! So grateful to have found this special family run restaurant.
