We have eaten here three different times, as we stayed at the Santa Monica hotel. The first night we were greeted promptly by our server Christina with gluten-free bread. For our entrée we had the market fish which happened to be grouper, accompanied with green lentil pilaf with kale, tomatoes, and crispy prosciutto. For our dessert we had the Catalana, which is a creme brûlée style dessert with berries. It was delicious and not dense. The second time we had breakfast. I had the scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon. As for the third time, we did the fixed price menu paired with wine. We started with the hunters board which had triple cream brie, manchego cheese, olives, gluten-free bread, spiced almonds, sweet coppa, sopressata, county pate navarra, and quince paste. The meats and cheeses were excellent together. Along with the hunters board, we had the Cava, a sparkling wine. Light but sweet. Next, I had a Chardonnay by Kessler and the grilled apple salad with baby kale, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese and crispy prosciutto. For my main entrée it was paired with the Kessler Cabarnet Sauvignon, the entree was the beef tenderloin with parsnips, carrots, and beets. The tenderloin was cooked excellent and had wonderful flavor. The portion size was just right. The cab was excellent, smooth yet balanced. For dessert, we had the ricotta cheesecake, which had raspberries and almond crumble. It was not super dense, instead it was light and full of flavor. It was paired with a Tawny Port, it was like a standard port, but had a slight molasses flavor. Zero negative reaction, and I would highly recommend coming here.
