Definitely don’t get a fresh tortilla, that’s got an incredible amount of cross contamination. Stick to the chips and bowls.

Everything in the restaurant is gluten free, except the flour tortillas and the desserts (except the flan). When I tell them I’m gluten free, they change their gloves and treat my item carefully. That being said, the corn tortillas are pressed and cooked on the same griddle as the flour tortillas.

Notes

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.

We went during a very busy dinner rush. I witnessed a lot of cross contamination. I asked the manager Corey if it would be possible for her to make my bowl using fresh food from the back and she did. It would not have been enough to change the spoons. It was nice that she gladly put in extra effort to keep me safe.

Staff was kind and knowledgeable. Changed gloves and washed their hands without being told. They also let us “tweak” the side of chips to have melted cheese instead of having to order a huge order of nachos for a child.

Server immediately changed gloves and washed hands when I mentioned a gluten allergy, in addition, he pulled my tray from the back and used the serving counter in the back to prevent cc, and walked my tray himself through the rest of line, communicating with other team members that he had an allergy order. Very impressed with how he handled everything! Everything is gf except for the flour tortillas.
