Crave has gluten-free options, but sometimes their kitchen just isn’t feeling like putting any effort into creating them. I have had some great gluten-free meals there and I have had some absolutely terrible experiences with the exact same items there. So I think it’s a gamble.

As a food enthusiast with celiac disease, finding a restaurant that not only understands the intricacies of a gluten-free diet but also offers a variety of tasty options can be a real challenge. This past weekend, we found a true gem in Crave in Akron that stands out for its gluten-free cuisine and delightful dining atmosphere.
From the moment we stepped into Crave, the ambiance was noticeably warm and welcoming. The tastefully curated decor made us feel comfortable, like we were in a cozy yet chic dining space - perfectly suited for both a casual lunch or a special occasion.
However, what really set our experience apart at Crave was our waitress, who showed a commendable depth of knowledge about celiac disease. The reassurance of dining out safely as someone with dietary restrictions cannot be overstated. Our waitress expertly guided us through the menu, highlighting an impressive range of gluten-free options. Her genuine understanding and sensitivity to our dietary needs were truly refreshing.
The menu at Crave is diverse, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to different palates and dietary needs. I opted for the Mahi Mahi, which was prepared to perfection. The flavors were robust and harmoniously balanced, making every bite a true delight. The fact that I had such a range of gluten-free options to choose from truly elevated our dining experience.
In summary, our lunch at Crave was an absolute pleasure. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, coupled with a diverse gluten-free menu and a pleasing atmosphere, made for an excellent dining experience. Whether you have dietary restrictions or simply appreciate great food in a relaxed, stylish setting, Crave in Akron comes highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.

Been here twice for dinner. Both times have been proven celiac safe. No issues at all. Food was beautifully presented and flavorful. Very well done.

This place was amazing. Ester was great help and helped detail each selection of food and drinks. Great GF options with a dedicated frier. I haven’t had good fried food in years but it was amazing. I will be coming back.

They have a dedicated fryer. Diverse menu. However, the food is just so-so. Majority of the starches prepared with dairy, an issue if you cross react with dairy. Ordered scallops with broccolini: they put dill on the broccoli. Who does that? Just not a fan
So amazing. Dedicated frier, and educated staff.

Food was very good. They have a dedicated fryer so I was able to enjoy french fries. I asked about a martini and the bar staff came up with a safe GF and delicious alternative. Very extensive GF menu and I felt very safe eating. Will definitely be back.
