Cravings Alisha's Cupcakes

My daughter licked the frosting on one of their “GF” cupcakes and it was enough to make her throw up repeatedly. I tested both the cupcake and the frosting with my Nima sensor and it detected gluten. I’m never going back here.

This is my favorite place to grab an easy dessert. I’ve eaten their cupcakes, trifles, and take home dinner rolls all with no symptoms and they taste wonderful! My only concerns are that they used a paper straw as garnish in a pink lemonade cupcake once (darling, but from my understanding the paper/glue can contain gluten), and they don’t have a dedicated gluten free baking area. They do bake their gluten free items at the start of the day before getting out the regular flour, but I still get worried about the possibility of cross contamination. I’m quite sensitive and haven’t gotten sick yet though!

Their gf frozen dinner rolls are outstanding! My gluten-full family even enjoy them.

I feel safe eating here, with everything separated.

Their cupcakes are Oberon over the top decadent, I can only have one every so often.

Their donuts are not my favorite.

Every time I come to this area, I make sure to stop at Cravings. Not only do they have safely made gluten free cupcakes, but they have a variety AND they are absolutely DELICIOUS. The location is also very cute and the staff is friendly. I couldn't recommend Cravings more

Most of their cupcakes are available gluten free as well as regular and they have gluten free sugar cookies. And gluten free popcorn balls and toffee. Lots of gluten free!!! They make delicious gluten free cakes as well 😋!

The donuts are to die for. They only make them once a month and only fry GF donuts so it’s super safe. They keep all of the GF cupcakes separate and they are individually packaged so they don’t contact any gluten. It’s a separate menu on a board to the right side of the case. There’s normally a lot of options. My fav are the fruit flavors. Anytime lemon blueberry is on the menu I get like 4. I highly recommend it!!

Hands-down the best gluten free dessert shop this side of the Mississippi! The cupcakes are out of this world. You’ll never want another gluten free cupcake after eating here.

This place is my GO-TO! Hands down best cupcakes I have ever had and my gluten-eating friends even agree. I am super sensitive to cross-contamination and have never had an issue. My friends and family know if they want to get me a treat, this is where to to find it. Awesome things beyond just cupcakes, they have best rolls and pies for thanksgiving too!

Alisha is enthusiastic about providing GF options for customers. I’ve eaten their incredible cupcakes many times and have had their special GF donuts (only available once a month) once. I’ve never had any reaction and have enjoying every crumb! Love having a friendly and delish experience!

Great, but when I called ahead they said almost all their items were gf. When we arrived, they were about 1/4 gf. We really enjoyed the chocolate mousse cupcake, but the carrot cake was just ok, but the pecan topping was amazing! The lemon cupcake was ok. We really liked the atmosphere and seemed like a nice town to visit.

AMAZING bakery!! I adore this little shop! you are never limited to just one or two options for gluten free cupcakes - you get to experience tons of specialty flavors! Now that it's fall, they're making gluten free pumpkin bread as well, and once a month they take orders for gluten free donuts, which are every bit as good as the cupcakes. They're giant gluten free sugar cookie is my favorite cookie in the entire world!! I can't praise this place enough, and I've never gotten sick after eating lots of products there. LOVE!!

Updated (June 1, 2017): I saw 'Silly Yak's review commenting on cross contamination so I emailed the owner and asked her to comment on the review. Alisha responded and indicated that isn't how they handle GF foods.

She stated the following:

- currently the baker handling the GF baking and frying is celiac

- Everything is clean before being used for GF baking.

Mondays and Thursday are the days they cook the GF items and they cook the GF items first and then they proceed to the regular bakery items.

- The GF items have their own pans. Mixers and ovens are shared.

- They don't make regular donuts, only GF donuts.

I thought I'd pass this along.

Has started to offer GF frozen rolls (take and bake) and pies as special order. I highly recommend following them on facebook as they frequently do specials and they list their GF items as they develop them.

Absolutely the best tasting gluten free treats I have ever had! I am celiac and have been for over 6 years, and cravings has the best tasting baked goods. I have never gotten sick and neither has my mother who also has celiacs disease. Knowledgeable staff and owner who goes above and beyond to provide gluten free items. My favorite treat is the raspberry Nutella cheesecake trifle. So so so good.

A family member of mine used to work there and so (me having celiac disease) I the family member if they did things "safe" and she said no way. My family member asked the owner as the owner was making cupcakes "aren't those supposed to be washed out and aren't we supposed to use different utensil" the lady said welllll yeah I guess we are but it takes too much time so we do it this way. For those of you who have celiac disease do not eat here. I don't know why everyone is recommending it's safe for celaics. It's not.
