I have successfully eaten here a few times over the past few years, including the curry muscles, beet salad, sushi, and a few other dishes. We went again recently and had a very disappointing dinner. They have a lot of new employees, who really didn’t seem to understand the importance of GF. I asked the bartender before I ordered and he went back to the kitchen to confirm the stir fry could be fine GF. When it came out, it tasted like soy sauce .I know they have tamari, but I questioned it anyways. He went back and confirmed with kitchen it was “200% gluten free”. Well, I ate it. I didn’t get immediately sick, but suffered from some type of contamination symptoms over the next two weeks. Don’t write this place off, but maybe make sure to talk to a manager to avoid any issues.

Overall, I was underwhelmed by Current. My non-GF husband enjoyed sushi and a nice rib eye. Our server was very nice but didn’t seem to know much about what was GF on the menu. I tried asking about specific dishes and he didn’t know if they could be made GF and didn’t offer to ask anyone. I ended up ordering a dish called “Current Noodle” upon his suggestion because he said he knew that could be made GF with GF soy sauce. I figured that was the safest way to go. The dish was good, but could have had more flavor. In summary, it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t make an effort to go again. I feel there are better GF options in the area. Did have a selection of great cocktails!
