I’ve never written a bad review before & I feel I need to now. The place was near empty when we arrive which we thought was great. That would mean quick service, and a quiet atmosphere! We ordered the potatoes w sauce appetizer, the tofu bowl and a Dry Aged Cheeseburger. 36 minutes later our appetizer arrived. 20 min later our main courses. My burger was undercooked (I draw a line at blood on a bun. May be fine for others) with cold buns (not heated but like out of a fridge) and had a funky taste. I sent it back and was feeling ill so did not want more food. I wanted a refund for my burger only. The burger had one bite in it. They would not refund. The service was poor. Food was poor. Not worth the cost or wait time for the food. If it helps, I’ve never asked for a refund at a restaurant either. This was an exceptional case of a really, really bad burger. This happened last night and I sat on it for 24 hours, but I really cannot stand by how they handled the situation. When a customer receives bad food, you refund them for the food that was bad. I did not ask my whole bill to be written off just the burger. That they wouldn’t do that is preposterous Especially when I felt too sick to eat anything else

I've had mixed experiences at Daily Operation. The food is fantastic and they are willing to make accommodations to dishes to make it GF, but you have to be really diligent with your questions, particularly as their menu is seasonal. I made a mistake recently thinking I already knew what a dish was and didn't follow up to ask if it was cooked in shared oil. They knew I had a gluten allergy; I put this on myself for not asking, but I think it's worth sharing that you need to be diligent to be safe! The vibe is great.
