I used to eat here consistently but felt glutened during my last visit. I tested my dosa and filling and the test came back with gluten. I don’t know what caused it but it’s no longer worth the risk as a sensitive celiac.

The food here is the best. I have multiple dietary restrictions and this checks all the boxes. One of my favorite places in DC.

Fully GF and very GF knowledgeable. They use gluten free hing and since all items they make are GF, no issues with cross contamination. All food was delicious!

So very good! The owner helped me through my order because I wasn't sure what to get, but I don't think I could have gone wrong with anything on the menu. And they cook the dosa right in front of you which just adds to the experience. Everything is gluten-free so super safe as well. I highly recommend!

Everything is gluten free. One reviewer said they got sick because some ingredients are shipped from a place that can have cross contamination. I’d keep that in mind, but honestly I loved the food and had no problem. I would definitely recommend their ginger mango lassi, the ginger flavor is very mild and it’s super refreshing on a hot day. I would definitely put this on the top of my list when visiting union market.

I always go here when I’m in the area. Love the mild yellow dosa. I can’t do spicy so beware several options are spicy.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately I was glutened from my meal at DC Dosa. I corresponded with the owner and the lentils and beans come from a supplier in India. They are not tested for gluten. Lentils can be grown and processed in proximity to wheat and that can be a problem. If you have celiac, I suggest caution.

I would be very careful as a celiac. Had a nice dosa on the weekend, and still feeling sick four days later. Of course I can't be totally sure that it was the dosa, but it was the only unknown item I ate...

The food here is so delicious and filling! It was so nice finding a dedicated GF Dosa place. I spoke with the owner and her daughter has celiac so everything is fully GF! I got the mung lentil dosa with potatoes which was huge and so tasty. I’m very sensitive to cross contamination so it was nice to not have to worry about that. Tons of flavor and definitely fully GF. Highly recommend!

Branded as dedicated gluten free place however it did not come back as gluten free when I tested with Nima. Ordered rice and yellow lentil dosa with potatoes and a couple of sauces and Sambhar. The person working there told us that the mung lentil dosa probably has hing or asafoteida. Hing or asafoteida has gluten and they make all dosas on the same surface and maybe that’s caused the cross contamination. Regardless, if they have any food item that does contain gluten, they shouldn’t brand the place as dedicated gluten free. My wife had the rice dosa and 3 stars for that as she liked it.
