They have gluten free buns, servers are knowledgeable but not too convincing.

Not sure if they take any precautions to avoid cross contamination. Their fries are breaded and came next to my burger even after I told them I had a gluten allergy and asked for the fries to come on a separate plate for a family member. I sent it back and they remade the entire thing.

No apology or anything and didn’t seem to realize the severity of the issue.

Encouraged by all of the positive reviews regarding the restaurant’s accommodations for those with gluten sensitivity and/or allergies, we had high hopes. Perhaps it was the server we had in the bar area (maybe he was having a particularly bad day), or maybe we were unrealistic in our expectations, but this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with respect to the above. When my wife asked which of the menu items would be the safest with her Celiac and dairy allergies, the waiter promptly and dismissfully warned her that anything and everything could be contaminated, and even though a salad would be her best (only) option, he couldn’t endorse even that. She opted not to eat, and he never even checked with her as to why, nevermind offer any creative alternatives. She may have still opted to pass, but at least give her options. Clean a pan, change your gloves, use oil, and keep things separate. It’s not that difficult. If you have a gluten allergy (or any allergies), PLEASE BEWARE.

The two stars is for the cool local sports decor and the for the average to above average quality of the food we did order (French onion soup, clam chowder, sushi, Reuben. These items were for me and our kids, who do not have any allergies, and they were all consistently good).

Ordered a burger on GF bun, came with sweet potato fries. It was decent, but I ended up having a reaction. I ordered takeout online and noted that I was celiac, but this wasn't called out anywhere by the staff or on my order, and the lettuce and tomato I requested were buried underneath the fried in the takeout container, which I suspect is what got me. You might have better luck if you speak with staff and are explicit about your needs.

Although they have a gluten free menu, this restaurant is not Celiac safe. Spoke to the waitress and thought I would be fine, but ended up getting sick.

You must on all occasions identify yourself as gluten-free. You cannot rely on the menu description. You must talk to your server. I personally made the mistake, because I have been coming there for years, and got a grilled chicken special. It turns out that this particular grilled chicken special was breaded before it was grilled. First time I’ve ever heard of a breaded grilled chicken dish at a bar.

I did not get sick and I had a good meal however the gluten free was definitely aimed toward those choosing to go gluten free. Fried food fried in a fryer with gluten is in the menu, but the menu makes that clear.

They clearly state on the menu that they are not a gf kitchen. however, if you talk to your server, i found they were very informed and clearly explained the precautions they would take for me. had the swordfish (with the vegetable of the day substituted for the sweet potato fries, since they have a shared fryer) and it was delicious.

Even though they have a Gf menu, it's really more for those avoiding gluten for health reasons. It is absolutely not Celiac friendly. They DO NOT have a dedicated fryer and their gf menu says they do not even have a dedicated kitchen space.

They listed GF Chicken Tenders and FF on a children's menu, but did not state ANYWHERE on their designated GF menu that they are fries in a shared fryolator! NOT recommended for Celiacs.

Dedicated gluten free menu. Knowledgeable staff. Sweet potato fries were gluten free, but shared fryer. Gluten free garlic bread was delicious! The French onion soup, gluten free without bread, was one of the best I've ever had! I would definitely check this place out, those who are gluten free and those who are not.
