First off, the restaurant Blue Bear operates out of this same location from 8-2:30pm Fri-Tues. Then, for some reason, from 5-9pm on the same days, their dinner service is under the name of Della Porta. Either way, the same two people own it, one of them being a chef with celiac who was trained in Italy. Needless to say, I felt pretty safe eating there.
My husband & I split a Neapolitan-style pizza (Diavola Calabrese) & a pasta dish (Schiaffoni Toscani). Both were GF, but you’d never be able to tell if you didn’t know it. The pizza crust was the most amazing crust I’ve ever had, even before being GF. My mouth waters thinking about it now. I wish they weren’t so far away!
Run, don’t walk, to Della Porta! You won’t believe your taste buds.
