Two of us were on a roadtrip and saw the great Find Me GF reviews and made a point to go through Belfast so we could stop here. Unfortunately, our experience was not nearly as good as others have reported in the reviews. On a general note, we hadn't thought we might have needed reservations, but it was very busy even on a Sunday night and without having called ahead we ended up waiting 40 minutes or so and then were seated in a fairly uncomfortable spot.
We were so hungry and eager to order, but our server was incredibly busy and when she finally made it over to us she rushed us, making us feel she had no time for our safety questions. She also seemed distracted enough when she answered questions that I wasn't sure she was giving me complete or accurate information. Ultimately I was left with the distinct impression that even if they know what they are doing to keep a celiac safe, they are busy enough that it would be *very* easy for a mistake to be made just because of how much the staff are rushing. Cross contamination is a real risk in that kind of environment.
As it happened, our server brought out our plates on her arm, nearly stacked on top of each other even though one was GF and one was not. Perhaps only by sheer luck I seem to have been spared glutening. The food was okay.
There was a dessert board listing desserts that seemed to indicate all starred items were GF. I was delighted and ordered a tiramisu for us "to share." Even though I had been very clear with the server about ordering GF for the whole meal, she took the order and said nothing. But we became suspicious that every item had been starred on the board and fortunately checked with the bartender who told us that it was not gf. I mentioned what happened to the server when she came with the tiramisu, and she was very curt/kind of confrontational in her response. She did say that the stars were decoration. I don't know why the board then indicated starred items were GF. Sadly, had we wanted to order a second dessert to get something GF, she was gone before we would have had a chance to say it.
To top it off, we waited probably 20 minutes to get our bill and then were given somebody else's bill. We waited another 20 minutes to get our own bill, and then waited quite a while again for the server to come collect our credit card. Never in my life have I ever been tempted to walk out without paying until this moment. Of course I wouldn't do that, but I was left with such a distinct impression that we were nothing but an inconvenience on a busy night, and a special occassion for us (we ate out very little on this trip) was soured.
If I ever gave this place a second chance, I would make sure to go at an hour it was dead.

Service was great! Our waitress understood my food allergies, gluten, egg and lactose intolerance and made suggestions. I enjoyed a delicious pizette! Everyone enjoyed their meals as well! The prices for our meals were very reasonable.

Delicious restaurant and very knowledgeable. Their pizettes are all made GF. The waitress said they used to have a non-GF options but now only do them GF. They also had a GF penne. We went 2 nights. We tried pizettes, penne and lobsters rolls. It was all delicious and my celiac daughters did not have any bad reactions. I would totally recommend.

I was very pleased eating here! There were several gluten free options and our server was very knowledgeable about what was safe for me to have being celiac. She mentioned one of their kitchen staff also had gluten allergies, so they are very familiar with working with food safely. Definitely recommend!

Delvinos offers a gluten free flatbread, pizza crust for pizzettes, gluten free burger/sandwich buns, all their sauces are gluten free, and then have a gluten free penne. A member of their staff has celiac disease so they are well educated on the risks of cross contamination. Very celiac friendly place to dine if you worry about going out.

Found this little gem while traveling... It's nestled in the downtown area of Belfast, ME While they don't have a separate gluten free menu they can make almost every entree gluten free! Even on a Sunday night, it was quite busy and we enjoyed sitting at the VERY well stocked, quaint, quiet, intriguing bar. Missy, our bartender & server, was very helpfu and friendly, while also being a wiz behind the bar! I had their GF Chicken Parmesan with penne, side salad and GF bread. My husband is not GF and very much enjoyed their regular Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine.

Fantastic little Italian joint on Main Street! GF items are not marked on printed menu, but they are online. I just asked the waitress and she told me all the options. And there were a lot! The GF pasta with mushroom sauce was so good! And I will dream of the GF bread with roasted garlic. Great service and nice outdoor space.

I have eaten here a few times, but this time I was really disappointed. I cannot have gluten or dairy and their menu was smaller and I could only have flatbread and pasta with tomato sauce and grilled chicken. It was pretty flavorless. I remember getting delicious polenta the last time I came here, but it was no longer on the menu. Their menu is smaller for the summer months. They do not have a gluten free menu as the sign on their door states. I was concerned about safety because the server didn’t even know that their drinks were not all gluten free. I did not get sick, but won’t go back since the food was no longer great.

We regularly visit Delvinos for date night. They have great specials and provide many options to accomodate dietary restrictions. They have gluten free bread for pre-meal snacking, which I normally miss out on. They also provide seperate oil and spices bowl for dipping to avoid cross contamination. Along with the great mains, they sometimes have a fabulous Chocolate Cake with raspberry sauce.

Important to note that the venue is closed from 3p-4p daily. This is not stated on here or their website. We only found out at 2:30p as we entered and saw a sign of that closing time hand written on a paper on the door. Unfortunately, we were told that they stop seating people at 2:30p and were not offered a table. When we explained that we were gluten free, struggling to find a place to eat, and just drove an extra 30 minutes to get here based on how great their GF options were - the hostess didn't even go to ask if there was something they might be able to do. Instead she told us we should "maybe check Darby's up the street". I don't usually do this for a restaurant that offers many GF options, but I'm leaving this review that based on the level of service we received I'd not recommend eating here. If you do, just know that they are closed from 2:30p-4p everyday.

They have a couple of things on their menu that are GF and both are delish! Only place around here you can get GF pasta which is nice :)
Attentive staff and great options for those with Celiac. Instead of a bread basket you get a GF flatbread with olive oil. The entrees were tasty. Good food to boot!
Yes
Staff is very knowledgeable - separate menu with gluten free flatbread, pasta, sauces, and even dessert! Highly recommended.

I didn't know gluten free ravioli could be so good. Only two gluten free options, but delicious choices! My only complaint is that a basket of bread is brought out, but you could easily request that it be with held! The wait staff was wonderful, kind, and understanding about celiac!

I have celiac and a dairy allergy. I had a delicious dinner and the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. I liked having a few options for a flavorful meal! I’d highly recommend eating here and as a relative local I’ll return!

Only one option on the menu for a lactose intolerant-Celiac (not expecting more than that at an Italian restaurant), but it's a good one! Nice atmosphere and a good wine pour too.
The staff were mostly very knowledgeable about what could be made gf and those who hadn't memorized it all were quick to check with the kitchen to verify. I had the Portobello mushroom app and the gf penne with chicken and a creamy mushroom garlic sauce. Total diet buster but oh so worth it!!!
The chicken and kale ravioli was amazing! Definitely recommend and will be back!
OMG...the GF chicken kale ravioli with roasted red pepper sauce was amazing!!
Gluten free pasta options. Knowledgable staff.
